Bands that SHOULD reunite? Maybe?

Don't hold your breath for The Smiths. Via NME:

Morrissey has revealed he has turned down a near-£40 million offer to tour again with his old band The Smiths.

If we're going to play that game… and since I can now cross Blur off the list of bands I'd like to see reunite… then I'll vote for Elastica.
Hey, I wouldn't count my chickens… Even their drummer had a gak habit in the 90's:

Blur man: I was a coke addict.

You underestimate Damon Albarn's ability to piss people off. Ah, but Blur at the Black Cat in 1995? The night they released "The Great Escape?" When Damon said "For what it's worth, we beat Oasis?" Words can't describe.

I also saw Elastica at the OLD 9:30 club back in the day. Got back stage too. I even had a moment with Ms. Frischmann. But a gentleman never kisses and tells…

Brian
25. Soundgarden
23. STP
21. Fugazi
18. Smashing Pumpkins (original)
15. Grateful Dead
11. Husker Du
10. Phish
2. Talking Heads
1. Pink Floyd

i agree with these from the original list.

I wouldnt mind catching a White Zombie reunion.

also the afformentioned Hum would be stellar.

You paid money to see Coldplay.

Please don't judge.
first of all, i only went cause someone else backed out. second of all, it was right after rush of blood to the head came out and Parachutes was really not a bad album, had they come back with something good the second time aruond

and "furthermore" you dont hear me wishing for another coldplay show 10 years later, do ya????

my own choice goes to Gene. I'd love to see them again.
Yeh no wish list would be complete without them, saw their farewell show at the Astoria, was saaaadddddd indeed.
any love for palace fires? i think thats the new band of some of the former guys in gene.

and that must have been one hell of a show. id have probably cried. just wondering - did they ever do any smiths or moz covers?
I will third Hum.

Also,
Action Patrol
The Scaries
Hot Snakes
I think it's high time that No Doubt got back together.
The Kinks

Oh yeah, that reminds me, Rocket from the Crypt.
Jesus Lizard too. Or, make me real happy and have a Scratch Acid reunion.

I've heard the Dicks do occasional on-offs. How about a tour?

What's Jeff Magnum up to lately? How about a NMH/Aeroplane show?

Ikara Colt was damn good. They broke up, a slight uproar resulted, they re-formed, the roar disappeared, and they broke up again.

Rollins' music (-making, not broadcasting) career has sort of stalled. How about making nice with Greg Ginn, get Dukowski (or Kyra) and Bill Stevenson on board and do a Flag victory lap? I missed the WM3 show a couple years ago and am still kicking myself over it.
Cocteau Twins.

It'd be nice to see Siouxsie and the Banshees again.

Fugazi.

Bikini Kill. (I'd love to hear what they have to say now that they're older and the whole riotgrrrl thing has kinda died out a bit.)
Olivia Tremor Control (did they technically ever break up?). Maybe three or four on that original list I'd like to see.
i wouldn't mind a Hum reunion either.

to see bikini kill play again, i think, would feel completely unnatural and forced.

Noooooooooooooooo, sacrilege, they had enough trouble getting over being Morrissey's "favorite" band…

Well, depending on your level of intimacy with the original incarnation of every band thatâ??s been mentioned you could say it would be completely unnatural and forced, but this by itâ??s nature is a rosy scenario exerciseâ?¦.â?in a perfect worldâ?¦.â?
Morrissey is bad for your soul.
Swervedriver
Wanderlust (RCA band from the 1990s…remember them?? I think they were from Philly. One of them married Carnie Wilson.)

But Rollins was easily the worst vocalist Black Flag ever had. I'd go to see Dez or Keith but Henry just makes me laugh. No thanks.
