No Tammy Wynette? She did play the club right, and that was one of your dream shows I thought.

I think you're thinking of Loretta Lynn

it was pretty good, not one of the best, although Dolly Parton was
aphex twin 09/05/97
the orb 05/10/97 (the july 97 date wasn't as good)
einsturzende neubauten 07/30/00

the worst shows for me?
probably sigur ros 03/19/03
echo & the bunnymen 07/06/01 (mostly because of the crowd)

i'm just curious.. why was that show so horrible? did you not know what they were about before seeing them? everyone else that i talked to who went (i went as well) were completely floored. i'd like to hear your opinion about it.

i heard that show was even better, yeah… it was just the first time i had seen them, and what really floored me the most was just seeing how nobody moved, or talked, the entire time. normally at a show, even if it's more low key there is at least one person talking or trying to get a drink. but sigur ros just made everyone freeze in their steps. that was the most amazing part.

…except for the very annoying clapping Gay geeky Frat boys right next to me. These weren't the normal appreciative claps that I'm talking about but the very irritating type used to insight the crowd. It was so out of place for that show. You could tell that everyone wanted to kick them out.
radiohead, pulp, michael stipe - the sudden show

any of the soul coughing shows

- James Brown was a kick ass show.
- Dillinger Escape Plan in 2002 was great, with the fire breathing at the end of the set.
- Pietasters/Slackers/King Django was quite memorable
- Chick Corea was cool wish I was high thought
- Steel Pulse was a great experience but only because I was so fucked up.
why the take action tour, of course. sept 20, 2003 , i believe.

:)
no, that show was no good except for Dilliger Escape Plan who put on a better show the year before.
belated response about Cornelius- it was the best audio/ video integration I've ever seen at a club show; I'm still wondering how they did some of the effects. Matador is gonna release a Cornelius DVD in January

i heard some stuff, but i seriously thought the live shows would be a bit more interesting… not to mention like you say.. everyone said they were floored.. well i had heard that about other shows.. so many people had said that it was the most amazing show they'd ever been to after seeing them that i was curious.

i thought the opening band, the album leaf, was boring, but i was proven wrong on that when sigur ros came out. the jibberish got on my nerves after the second song maybe? that's the only time i've come close to walking out of a show.
Fave shows at the new location and in no particular order:

Soundtrack of Our Lives
Amon Tobin
The Gotan Project
The Sex Pistols
The Datsuns
Dave Gahan
The Pretenders
Guided by Voices
