the generalizations just keep on coming! i would dare to say that a good 1/4 of the republican party is not born-again right-wing extremist. i can point to guiliani, george pataki, john mccain and so forth. . .there is still some of us left that are economic conservatives and socially moderate. would i rather him actually cut spending, yes. but when a president goes to cut spending, people go into convulsions about how important this or that spending program is.

btw, the way you told norman mailer off in that last episode was soooo hot!
