Will the bboard be turned off to honor the sanctity of the first Tuesday in November?

turning it off might be the only way to get some lazy asses to vote
I'm off to San Francisco and Lake Tahoe tomorrow, so I'll miss all the festivities anyway.

Enjoy the victory early, because after Kerry takes office, you will all wonder if you've been had.

I think it was that eminent political philosopher Markie who once observed that the greatest time for the Left is when the Right is in power, because the Left can then be enraged at how horrible things are under the Right and they can incessantly claim that things would be glorious if the Left were in power. Then the Left actually comes into power and proves them wrong.

dunno about that, but there are tables with 3 card poker and pai gow. the casinos in tahoe are pretty hurting, since most people from the bay area just go to indian casinos these days.

True dat, it's a limit table though. The only no-limit games I was able to play were tourney's.

I think that is pretty close.

But I dont think it is the greatest time for the left, but the greatest time for the proletariat.

But this means you can understand me, afterall?

I was hoping to get away from "the vote," but I fear that the conference on institutional investment management in an environment of low beta market returns will be sidetracked by more discussion of the election.

Any good shows on Wednesday or Thursday night?

if kerry wins, he's gotta have the lowest expectation of any recent incoming president. besides, i have a problem with calling either american party very 'liberal' or 'conservative'

Nothing to my knowledge on Wedensday, but I haven't been paying much attention with everything else going on.

Delgados on Thursday at Bimbo's or Brian Wilson at the symphony hall. I'm not planning on going to either.
my plans for election are:

Work
Vote
Pack Just in Case
See Shaun of the Dead
Avoid all election coverage
Be either happy or sad with the results in the AM.
