As a Canadian, i am in love with the Winter Olympics…we kick a lot of ass.
but whats up with everyone getting banned now.
its lame. come on people. does anyone else agree??/

As an American - whose country has gotten a lot of new age contrived sports added to the mix simply so we can also kick ass - I, too, love the Winter Olypics.
Who do you like in hockey? I see Canadians beating Russians for gold, Swedes over Czechs for bronze.

Well, apparently, I would be watching for a whole different reason but all of the ice skating events, excluding speed skating, are the only ones that I have any interest in whatsoever.

I like figure skating somewhat. At least the womens. I hope they don't screw Slutskya over again like in 2002. Kwan will manage to screw up again and Cohen chokes at every big event.

I was watching some European World championship the other week and I swear the Russians bribed the judges. Obviously, I can't prove it but I do fully believe so, especially considering so much has already been outed about that kind of stuff. They took the gold in every competition regardless of quaility. They clearly deserved it in the Mens. Christ, that guy totally embarrased all of the other skaters! What a pleasure to watch. However, in all of the other events, while they were good, they were not the best, in my opinion, nor in either of the commentators opinions. In fact, the commentators made no bones about continually saying how they did not agree with the judges' decisions. I was happy that the commentators agreed with me but not happy about the same old same old taking hold in any kind of big name organization.

The Winter Olympics are definitely my favorite. Pretty much every sport interests me. Normally I have a schedule to keep track of things, but this year I'm a little behind. The upsets and surprise wins are the best.

I think she has nice knees. Man, you are picky, picky, picky. She has great calves.
For what it's worth, she's probably wearing some kind of skater's tights or stockings. Also, she may very well have just been kneeling on the ice prior to the photo. Although that looks like an artificial teflon rink.

Gold - Canada
Silver - USA
Bronze - Finland in a total shocker over Russia
the Swedish team will be the surprise disappointment this year.
The US looks like garbage. I think the Czechs are the team that are getting talked up as gold medal contenders but will fall totally flat, not Sweeden. Finland medaling would be a shock. Should be fun to watch.

Nah, she looks like a young woman to me. She's attractive but I'm not into the hottness factor being a straight female. I just wouldn't mind seeing that in the mirror when I had to face up to one.
Katerina was attractive but I've seen plenty of other very attractive skaters. Some not so attractive too. In the end, I go for the skating regardless of looks, nationality or anything else. It's a truly beautiful art form that I really appreciate.
Tara Lapinsky (sp?) was the one skater who really bugged me due to her placement. Don't get me wrong, I think she was extremely good but she completely lacked the grace of skaters just a few years older. Too much of her skating looked like she was running and lacked the feminine angularity and gracefullness that tops off a beautiful performance. I haven't seen her skate for a couple years now so I bet she's developed that with a tiny bit of maturing and even more practice.
