OK, so round 2.
Penguins in 6
Philadelphia in 7
i think the Philly/Montreal series is VERY interesting. the top 2 power play teams in the country. goals a plenty here. But Philly has the distinct edge in goaltending. Perhaps I just watched more of the Habs 1st round (the Caps games are blacked out at my house) but they look suspect. Their power play is NOT clicking and the whole team looks shaky in the 3rd period.
Dallas in 7
Detroit in 5
Poor San Jose is gonna play 14 playoff games and not even get into the conference finals, though i'll be rooting for them.

Beating a 5 and 7 seed doesn't change anything. Ovechkin is still the MVP. The trade was still absurd. The Pens still can't win the cup, and Marc Andre Fleury and the lack of defense will be the reason.
Do you live a bubble? Detroit or Dallas would shred the Pens if they can make it to the finals.

I still dont know that the pens (or anyone else) can beat the Wings. But i do get ooodles of cash if Pittsburgh wins the east due to a risky futures bet on them in November, when it was 15:1.

right right, then pens have had no chance of proving anything yet in the playoffs, and have no chance of proving anything going forward. lets not even play the games
grotty, that trade is worth it if they win the cup, and nothing else. hossa and gill were definitely needed additions, though. i'm not going to say ovie didnt deserve the hart, because he did what malkin did for the caps for a bigger part of the season
