best 3 song sequence on an album

i kept repeating tracks 5-7 from the smith's "the queen is dead" during my commutes today

"cemetry gates"
"bigmouth strikes again"
"the boy with the thorn in his side"

doesn't get much better than those 3 in a row … well, maybe tracks 2-4 from sgt. pepper's:

"with a little help from my friends"
"lucy in the sky with diamonds"
"getting better"

any more?
Therapy? Caucasian Psychosis

"Loser Cop"
"Innnocent X"
"Dancin with Manson"
â?¢ part 1 – Prelude for a Toddler
â?¢ part 2 – Toddler's Lullaby
â?¢ part 3 – Safety is the Cootie Wootie

The Residents, extra material added to CD The Big Bubble
actually, i'd have to put in my vote for
"Golden Slumbers,"
"Carry That Weight," and
"The End" off Abbey Road

and i'm going to have to go with any three songs, as well, from 13 songs…that album flows so well…
Breathe
Time
Breathe (Reprise)

but how can you cut off "polythene pam" and "she came in through the bathroom window" from that sequence? the whole second side of that album is just one great multi-part song … "bathroom window" is one of my favorite beatles tunes, i'd love to hear a 3 min version
#1-3 on sebadoh's harmacy
on fire
prince-s
ocean
"On the Beach"
"Motion Pictures"
"Ambulance Blues"

… from Neil Young's "On the Beach"

also

"Welfare Mothers"
"Sedan Delivery"
"Hey Hey My My (Into the Black)"

from Neil's "Rust Never Sleeps" isn't too shabby

AND one more:

"Born Under Punches"
"Crosseyed and Painless"
"The Great Curve"

from Talking Heads "Remain in Light"

pretty much
one I've always liked was the closing run of REM's Automatic for The People…..Man on The Moon, Nightswimming, and Find The River
U2's Joshua Tree, opening three:

1. Where The Streets Have No Name
2. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
3. With or Without You

Death Cab for Cutie's Transatlanticism:

6. Tiny Vessels
7. Transatlanticism
8. Passenger Seat
Joshua Tree as a whole just flows really well, too.

This is a good one. I remember that sequence being called out in a review (Rolling Stone I think) when it first came out.

Another one…it's only 2 songs, but "Airbag" and "Paranoid Android" flow together really well. I have them joined as one file so they always play together when the iPod is on shuffle.
Closing out Tim by the Replacements

Left of the Dial
Little Mascara
Here Comes a Regular

And the opening three from the Unforgettable Fire (a much better record than Joshua Tree, in my opinion)

A Sort of Homecoming
Pride
Wire

Can't believe both of these came out over 20 years ago.
I would have gone with:
My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)
Thrasher
Ride My Llama

Others:
Bad Religion - Suffer
Suffer
Delerium of Disorder
Part II (The Numbers Game)

Johnny Cash - American Recordings
Tennessee Stud
Down There By The Train
Redemption

Zappa/Mothers - Were Only In It For the Money
Let's Make the Water Turn Black
The Idiot Bastard Sun
Lonely Little Girl

that tasty, middle chunk from the rapture album:

"i need your love">"the coming of spring">"house of jealous lovers"

First three, the fact that they are somewhat related in theme helps.

How can you not include the title track too? It flows right into "a little help". In fact, I'd say 1-3 works better than 2-4.
