Yea, it is a shame.
everybodys dmb opinion
REM back in the day were rather good i thought. It wasn't mindblowingly good, but it was certainly fresh and decent musicianship too. I liked the first two albums a lot. The third one was a little off for a number of songs, but when they were on…as in Orange Crush, they were incredible. Interestingly enough I stayed away from them for a long time because all the freaks in my school listened to them (high school). I only really got into them and saw them live when they toured in 2002, unfortunately, they were already going stale. By now they've dropped off my radar screen quite a bit
Better?
Better?
dave is a talented guitar player. i could do without his singing sometimes.
Next to U2, the most overrated band in popular music history. Hippie music for fratboys. Good music for a dentist's office, maybe. Rhythm section is talented I suppose, but that voice and those lyrics are so painfully annoying I can't say anything else nice.
Man, you guys have some really bad taste in music! That's the worst part of living in the UK….they don't play any Dave Matthews Band on the radio. I'm feeling really homesick now.
if I were living in the UK and I couldn't hear Dave Matthews, I'd probably kill myself!

Random, when are you coming to Doomlink?
I respect him for creating a genre where none existed. Not my bag, but he has had vision and kept it going for a lot longer than I thought possible.
DMB frst 2 albums were great and the band put on some great shows that I saw. However, everything else since has been crap. A complete waste of time in my opinion. Two Step is probably their greatest song ever. Dumping poop on people is not cool.

lol allright, just wonderin guys, thanks for posting
I really did like them at first when they came out. The music was eclectic and a lot different than other music at the time. However, in recent years, I do have to agree that they've been overblown. The music has began to sound all the same, and they don't have the the same energy and pop that they had ten years ago. Hopefully the new producer will do something. I still take my wife to the concerts though…she loves them, and she goes to shows with me when she doesn't like the music. However, I have to disagree with the fratboy comments. I now have been to many DMB shows, and rather than the fratboy contingent, it is more the sorority chicks, and hippie chicks in general. It's like DMB gets the Phish overflow.

There a nice bunch of guys, Dave's daughters are extra cute, but his caterer is a little on the wacko side (I protected their water bottles). But the fans at every sold out concert seem to really like their music.
And I definitely meant to type "They're"…must be too early in the morning for typing.
So to all the U.Va. students out there that refuse to listen to George Michael, the late Freddie Mercury, Elton John, etc. … next time you blast the latest Dave Matthews CD out your car window, keep in mind he is bisexual.

Is there a web site I can go to and find all of the bi male singers?

"I'm a dirty rascal…I'm the king of the castle"
"Hike up your skirt a little more and show the world to me."
Along with that "your body is a wonderland" song, these are some of the dumbest lyric nuggets I've ever heard. God only knows what lyrical treasures are hidden in the DMB catalog.
An ex gf of mine tended bar at the Floodzone in Richmond about 15 years ago..DMB had a weekly or monthly gig there she had the pleasure to work. She hated those nights. Who woulda thought they'd become international superstars? When I think of DMB I see Coors Light, backwards baseball hats, and intolerant frat boys. Not my scene at all.
