How about Radiohead?, they are suppose to tour this summer hopefully in the US.

i thought Radiohead only does the states every 3-4 years?  I couldnt imagine them touring here back to back summers….
there has been no official announcement of radiohead's summer tour.  so far the only info we have is ed, on his way in to a meeting, told the BBC that the band planned to record some new songs in the coming weeks and then do "a little bit of touring in the summer, watch this space!".  i'd love for them to come back, but i seriously doubt it - it would be far more likely for them to tour in places they haven't been to in a while (ex: their current south american tour).  eastern europe, australia/nz and south asia would be more likely destinations.

but who knows, maybe they'll do a few north american dates… any festival that they play will sell out.
said it once but you just know the hollywood undead will be back.  and on an even sadder note . . . they will sell tickets.  probably alot.

lets have (in the spirit of every band getting back together):

talking heads
fugazi
oingo boingo
the "real" faith no more
guns n roses (original line up, including the fucked up one)
system of a down

go out in style, mr. washington.

How about Green Day, The Feelies and The Replacements…

Green Day just playing Dookie
I don't think it's happening this year.  By January of last year we already had news about the festival and by early April the headliners were announced.  What's going on Seth??
APW v2 has announced its dates: july 31 - aug 2.  one can only hope that VFest isn't the same weekend.  i'm hopeful.

but i also suspect it might not be happening this year… this is a long time without saying *anything*, even by VFest standard.  what with the economy being what it is, taking this year off might not be such a bad business move.
As of about a month and a half ago it was still on from what I heard.  I think the date will be announced very soon.
Some others I'd like to see there:
- Spiritualized
- Metric (the new album is incredible)
- Eagles of Death Metal
- Arctic Monkeys
- The Rapture

It wouldn't be a secret anymore…
perhaps the secret is that the show will be free.  first come first serve.  the last show goes out in style.  all bands give up money to somehow support destroying livenation.

if they do just make sure you dont schedule the same week as Lolla, ok seth?
Incubus plays Sunday 8/9 at Merriweather and Phish plays Saturday 8/15…so we can probably cross both of those weekends off.

Lolla is 8/7-8/9 so it looks like they will not conflict.

That would leave the most likely dates as 8/1-8/2 or 8/22-8/23

Oh yeah try not to make virgin festival the same week as APW, right Seth?

why do we think it'll be at the Merriweather?
