I kind of wish they'd take a little more time between movies, but of course I'm super jazzed. I just hope it's unrelated to anything in the Skywalker saga.  No more finding out that like Yoda lived on the same block as Mon Mothma when they were kids or any of that shit. Just do new stuff.

True.  Solo would have performed so much better had it followed the Christmas release pattern rather than the March release it was given.  Now stretch that out to every 2 years.

False.  Unfortunately.

If Disney had made a new hope…vader/kenobi battle scene
I am solidly anti-revising the movies…but this was really good.

FTFY

The technology used to make that scene didn't exist in 1978.  That's why George made 4,5,6 and then 1,2,3.

A new hope is pretty campy at times

unrelated topic
this made me chuckle
Ok…since Julie will probably complain that this is not 'prestige' TV  this seems like the appropriate place for this

I'm really looking forward to the season 3 (final season) of Legion

this show is criminally underrated and one of my favorites

They have secured David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for the next trilogy.

For the uninitiated, they are the screen writing duo showrunners for Game of Thrones.
Awwww man I thought Rian Johnson was doing the trilogy and these guys were doing a show or something.  Thats… not great news imo

You have misshot the Julian's America thread by a significant margin.
oh hey, look, they wrote an article about us:

Disney's New Star Wars Park Isn't Just For Kids—It's For Rich (Older) Dudes Too
Galaxy’s Edge, which opens this month, offers alcohol and other enticements for adults with deep pockets

except for the "deep pockets" part.
Vanity Fair:

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, The Ultimate Preview

After four decades, Star Wars is drawing to its epic conclusion. Lev Grossman goes behind the scenes with director J.J. Abrams and the cast for the inside scoop on The Rise of Skywalker. With exclusive photographs by Annie Leibovitz.

Smackie note: the Keri Russel photo is my favorite, though I'm only 3/4 through….

Funny.  I just had the conversation with The Brand that I would like to go to Star Wars Land by myself the first time.  Did not go over very well.

Hasbro has reissued six of the classic action figures from the first series of toys to come out after the debut of Star Wars in 1977,

I still have a few of these…capes and guns lost and sabers mangled

I remember having to send a S.A.S.E. to get luke and obi…and wait like 6 weeks to get them

my kids have actually played with them over the last few years and made me very happy they got a new life
I have that Luke on my desk, complete with lightsaber.

That Chewy I keep with my AT-AT and Han Solo from Hoth era.  They only come out at Christmas time.
