Books
UK edition?
No this is the US paperback edition from 2006 I think
How is it?
Well I am enjoying it ..reading about music is the next best thing to listening
The first chapter was all about PIL…now it’s about the Pop Group and the Slits

My interest in that would certainly depend on the bands being discussed. What little I’ve heard about the book indicates it’s a detailed read but I may not care about a good number of the bands. Do check back when you’re done.

I reread the Neil bio Shakey… maybe best rock and roll bio? The section covering the 70s is amazing
Currently reading Gore Vidal’s Kalki
I have to finish and return to a friend cause it’s about ten months since I borrowed it

Reading the first volume of Mark Twain’s autobiography…
Lord it is so funny that at times I can’t stop laughing

This is very good so far. I'm of course doing the audiobook where Flea does the narration and his delivery seals the deal
I think I like this more than Scar Tissue
Ha ha I was reading that but my kid vommited all over the signed book…
Does anyone have any book recommendations for a 14 year old girl?

This one also age appropriate

I've heard young adults are still reading this too

I know I read this when I was a little younger…but still fits the bill

I am reading a lot of Mark Twain and I plan to spend the next few years reading his letters, stories, novels, essays, speeches and autobiography.
On the internet the Mark Twain project is a great resource.

The innocents abroad is hilarious.. I had read it many years ago but barely remember it and with 15 years more experience I get more out of it
Of course I read some of his stories, Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer when I was young… but there is a lot more to Samuel Clemens
I suppose my favorite thing about Twain is that he really understands the “American” character with its faults and pluses… and that character or “culture” probably hasn’t changed much despite my exhortations to the contrary during the Trump years.

Rush: Wandering the Face of the Earth: The Official Touring History
Alex Lifeson, Geddy Lee, and Neil Peart performed together for the first time to an audience of 11,000 people in 1974. Forty years later, their last tour sold over 442,000 tickets. This is the story of everything in between. This is the story of Rush.
