Holy crap I am listening to EYE at work and dayum, good tunes right there!
And they are no longer conflicting with Clang Quartet/Dementia and Hope Trails. That show was moved to Sunday.

well thank god for that!!!!!
Nice, maybe we will hang…
I doubt it will be full (sadly).
It will be one Velvet gig where the DJ downstairs will not present a problem.

Attendance might be good. DC does have a solid metal crowd.
That's good news about Clang Quartet moving to Sunday. Both Kohoutek and Ambition Burning have a bunch of Northern Virginia friends who were going to be at that show. I think attendance will be ok for this one, as Kohoutek hasn't played in DC since October, and Jesse from Lo-Pan is from Bethesda and has a bunch of friends who always come to see him play. Anyone who is into High On Fire, Sleep, Electric Wizard, Melvins, Kyuss, Neurosis, etc, should see this one. We're going to be our usual spacy selves but with a much heavier bent. I'm trying to get some projections but not sure if I can wrangle some up.

The DJing downstairs will absolutely not affect anything except possibly the path to the bar. Vic from Kohoutek is actually DJing that night and will be on double duty as he will be joining us on stage.

I don't have much planned in the near future for DC shows, except for Richard Davies (of The Moles/Cardinal) in May, most likely at Velvet with KRE. Tried getting Codeine but they don't want to do DC or Philly.
Looks like the Clang Quartet thing is Saturday. Regardless, I am happy it was moved. And yup that alone will help attendance greatly. Probably 20-30 people there that would have not gone to Velvet and most likely will be there now.

Oops! Man you can collect a lot of messages over the years…
Did you still need that info? I found it on the Grimes last.fm page for the venue in question. It is in the Copycat Building.
Why the need for so many names for the same place?
It is a room within a building like Floristree.
How about Alvarius B? He probably is planning on playing a few shows while on the east coast for Hopscotch Fest.
So this bag of dicks Lambert claims that before he came around, the 930 and Black Cat were the only people bringing in touring artists. Just one of many gems here. Enjoy! ;)

Heard you booked a Richard Youngs Philly show for 9/11? Venue info?
