Weedeater at sonar 8/12; any chance you can bring them back to the Velvet?

Missed them the first time.
They're playing DC9 on August 11th!

Yes they are. With Black Cobra. Guess there are shows at the Velvet already booked for the 11th and 13th. Too bad; that bill would've been great there.

It's been forever since I've looked at DC9's calendar.

pretty bummed about that, actually. weedeater are my friends and they should be playing the velvet. they hated the red and the black last time and they won't like dc9. but bands go where their bookers put 'em, and their bookers don't always know better.
Good looks on booking that "No More Bush" gig!

The full lineups for each show of the tour were just posted to the Arthur blog.
Lau Nau is in NYC on 9/19 with White Magic. Any chance we could get her down here?
i already looked into lau nau for free folk fest 5. she's not going to be routed through dc this time, unfortunately.
nice, kid congo tonite…

did you book Birds & Batteries in 2007? how were they live?
Zach Hill?

I think he's planning a tour to promote his new album (which is really good).
dead c is playing in philly on oct 12th. make it happen!
already tried. they need more money than i can offer, since i know only 40-50 people would show up in dc.

i'll be booking and managing the dead c show in philly that night, so if you really wanna see them, you'll have to travel to johnny brenda's.
Wonder if Fursaxa has any open dates before or after the Brightblack Talking Head show that she's opening.

She hasn't updated her website or myspace in over a year(unless she has more than one website or myspace).
i asked fursaxa to play with john wiese and bulbs on thursday, but she didn't feel like being part of a five-band bill at a club, so she's not coming to dc. i also asked her to play the free folk fest but she couldn't come down to the area two weekends in a row.
Damn…that Bulbs/John Wiese show is tomorrow isn't it? I should go. Bet it's gonna be a long night.

Just noticed the Skull Defekts show; that should be sick.
u won't go to the BB show in Baltimore?

Oh no I'm going.

Was thinking maybe we could get a Fursaxa set down here too.
i saw brightblack last time they were here and it was ok, but kinda boring. a pleasant kind of boring, but still. not sure if they are worth a trek to b'more. espers opened for them and were waaaaay better.
Don't know how I forgot to mention them until now but I'd love to see Emeralds.
you guys are gonna have to start a "hey bucket" thread soon, because he's the dude taking over for me at the velvet lounge in a few months. free folk fest 5 on saturday, details coming soon…
