that Rangda band sounds so awesome.
Snailhook...
I don't remember the last time I had such high expectations for an album.
And the samples on Drag City's site are keeping those expectations high.

i agree: i haven't anticipated a group this much in ages. chasny/rick bishop/corsano = automatic awesomeness.
and good news, azaghal: i am tight with the woman booking their tour and she wants me to book them in dc and philly.

Great to hear!
Caves Caverns would love to play either of those shows
And Marc Masters is still the only Pitchfork reviewer worth reading.
And his review makes me want to hear this even more.

Can you bring "Nothing People" around here, Please.
No Fun Acid (Carlos Giffoni and the Oneohtrix Point Never dude) would make for a killer U St. Hall booking. This second demo straddles the line between dance and experimental music perfectly.
RANGDA record official a total burner, great very electric sum of its parts.
Yep.
Might be my favorite thing released this year.
Good balance between crazy freak-outs and great composition.

i can't wait to hear this. probably going to be my #1 record of the year without even hearing it, hahaha. i don't know what'll even come close.

good call, but not likely gonna happen anytime soon. i don't think they ever get out of their general area, like the mayyors. mayyors/nothing people tour would destroy.

almost confirmed: Rangda/Major Stars/Kohoutek at Velvet Lounge, Friday 9/3
Excellent!
New Major Stars album is killer, too.

Would it be possible to grab Government Alpha while he is in the States in August?
Doing that Neon Marshmallow festival but that can't be his only US date, can it?

i'll look into it, but i doubt government alpha will do more than maybe nyc and chicago. if anything, i might be able to get him to do philly.

that Rangda lineup rules hard.

Omar Souleyman is at JBs on 11/3 as per this. Local show would be 11 different kinds of awesome.
