Bloc Party

so much will it cost to be your friend at the Bloc Party show….
I believe I still owe you for the De Novo Dahl CD, so I'd say at least a couple of drinks are on me. :)
I know, Chutney, you're right. I'll learn someday….
the bigger question is do you have a spare ticket for the show…
Or two….. ;)
oops - nope - sorry :(
well the good news is that it appears very few tickets for this show are being "brokered" only one pair on ebay at the moment, which means it soldout to the fans. hopefully, tickets will be available outside the venue, I'm not holding my breathe though…
Could be a long-shot, but DC Nine has some tickets to give away on Friday night during their Bloc Party album release party.
Don't feel too bad, the entire U.K. tour has sold out and I didn't get any tickets either. The worst part is, the shows don't even start until October.

be happy you can still catch Bloc Party at a small venue like Black Cat on April 9.
The show is sold out.
damn!

i'm bummed
that REALLY REALLY sucks.
Just heard one of their songs on KEXP and can now officially say that they are not in the 2% of indie rock bands that don't suck.

WARNING: 'Dick With Ears' Alert!
back in October when i heard "Banquet" and then in December when i got a copy of the EP and in Jan when i got "Silent Alarm" they were the band i had to see this year.

and i didnt get tickets, why do i live in Baltimore? i need to get out of here. (no NOT to DC)

i am sure the Black Cat crowd will be totally lame anyway…..

and i cant make it home next weekend for the Toronto show. fuck it.

Did you verify that, or are you just assuming the charges were outrageous? Black Cat tickets via TM's website usually have a $3 convenience charge per ticket. Usually, it's will-call only and no delivery fee. $3 is hardly a huge price to pay for something that will probably sell out in advance. That's less than the cost of a single beer.
I'll probably be at the liberation dance party tomorrow and if I manage to get those free tickets to the show I'll make them available for free to board members that really want to go.
Seeing as numerous people didn't get tickets for the Bloc Party. I wonder if we can get the powers to be to swap Virginia Coalition, at the 9:30 club, for The Bloc Party. They are only after all a local band…

apparently i need one of those nice DC jobs so i wont have to worry about an extra $6 everytime i wanna go out……
My wife's place of work is hiring for two positions…she was showing me some of the cover letters and resumes people had sent in. It's amazing how poor the grammar is out there.
