Pixies fans

The Patriot Center is a pain in the ass to get to for those of us that don't own automobiles. Second, it's just a very bland, boring venue. Third, it's too big…I despire arenas of that size for a band like the Pixies. In my opinion, they belong in a club or a nice hall like the Warfield in San Francisco or the Riviera or Aragon in Chicago. But not in a sports arena. Generally I hate seeing concerts in those kinds of places. I am not fond of Constitution Hall, but I'd take that over the Patriot Center…at least I can get to it!

They're not playing there either - they opted for two nights at the larger Greek theater in Berkeley.

ahh, the greek theatre. saw one show there.

hey vansmack, how'd you like the news about jose contreras being sent down?
I refuse to see any show in a sports venue. The sound is always shit, and sound matters more to me than having to stand.

He was dropped weeks ago, by after watching his first start, I wish I could by stock in things like "JC won't make it out of April."
So I am in Brazil. Got here late yesterday and was only able to see Hell on Whells from Sweden, excelent rock band, and Teenage Fanclub. Teenage Fanclub were great, they play really well live and they finished a two hour and fifteen minute show with The Concept and Everything Flows, to me, their best songs. And they are popular in Brazil, more than anywhere else. Now, ready to see the Pixies tonight, this is going to be great.
So when do tickets go on sale and through whom?
Please give us a full report Barcelona!

not for a looong while, so don't worry about it

I'll post something here before anywhere else
What do you think the chances are of there being a second night added at some point?
Given how many of my friends want to go to this thing, I would say that a second and maybe third show would all go like hotcakes. But my guess is that one is up to the band.
Thanks Seth!

I also thought it was a great picture. It was a great show. Incredible to see how popular they are in Brazil. Big sections in papers in Rio, Sao Paulo and Curitiba, they received a very nice press treatment.
If this was a perfect world - 10 shows at Warner Theater.

DAR - location is good, sound has and always will be bad that place.

That's my .02
