If you are just getting into them I probably would start with Isolation Drills, and work my way backwards, Then go to UTAC and EG. Staying away from DtC all together.
Bob's solo stuff blows away anything in my personal opinion. Kid Marine, Not in my Airforce are both masterpieces.
Guided by Voices
Very True Bob, But if you are not a fan, and just getting into them. I would suggest iso, mag, under the bushes, and work back chronologically, that way you spoon feed yourself until you get back to the extremely lo-fi stuff.
scientist, you are in luck, they do exist and if you would like the album I would be happy to burn it for you.

Anyway, back to the show, it was the first time I had heard material off of Earthquake Glue other than My Kind of Soldier, and I wasnt crazy about it, anybody else feel the same way? Then again, I wasn't crazy about Universal Truths material when I first heard it live in April of last year and I thought that material sounded great at live on Penn.
Bob, I have Earthquake Glue. Their are about 3 or 4 instant classics. The rest are growers. I put this above UTAC. Probably way above.
Useless Inventions
and
Best of Jill Hives are by far the best on the disc with a close third going to Secret Star.

Greatest line from a friend of mine recently, "You had me at the cheesy leg kicks, Bob." I totally lost my shit.

So I heard Beattle Bob stars in the new GBV video (see link above). Can anybody confirm this?
I remember briefly chatting with him at a festival in Alabama about 7 years ago. Strange guy. Anybody else seen/met him?
