Radiohead Roll Call

I just so yelled at my wife for being mad the whole way home. sounds like we had one of the more rosy experiences…..very sorry to all who had a bad time or no time at all, believe me i've been there…

That was "Bangers & Mash" I believe. Very cool tune. I believe it's on the collectors In Rainbows disc.

A few more thoughts on the night…

- Once we finally got in the lot we drove past the VIP parking. Thought about it for about 2 seconds and cut right over into the lot. Worth every cent of the $30 we paid. A 5 minute walk into the venue and we were out to the road within 10 minutes.

- Nissan Pavilion security is the biggest bunch of meatheads I've ever seen in my life. I nearly got trampled but 2 of them in the pit chasing a guy who snuck down there.

- I have a mancrush on Ed O'Brien.

- Can't wait for Lollapalooza now.

A coworker of mine didn't make it to the show…they gave up at 10pm and by the time he got home it was 11:30 and he had been in the car 6 1/2 hours. It sounds awful.
One more thing….

The "rain down" line from Paranoid Android was ironic/hilarious/goosebump inducing.

I love Radiohead, and i think they are one of the greatest bands in the world. But i overheard a guy say to one of his friends on the way out that "The main reason you go to a show is for the EXPERIENCE"

and last night at Nissan was definitely the worst Experience i've ever had at a show. I spent about 7 hours in my car, and about 3 hours spent freezing in the rain on the lawn. Not being able to see the band because a): everyone had their umbrellas up and b) the big screens were not being used.
Yeah why weren't the screens used this time???? That sucked for the lawn people.
You're not the only one…

solid show last night. standing in the lawn was a terrible experience, but it'll be one of those shows that i'll never forget.

anyone have the setlist?
Erinaceous, I think the song with Thom on drums is Bangers and Mash. Appropriate name with the way he was hitting his drum.

Particularly after the band's effort to offset carbon emissions, anyone know why it was at Nissan and not at the metro-friendly phone booth or RFK? Took me 4.25 hours to arrive from my apartment right across the street from the 9:30 and 2.75 hours to get back to my place after we got into the car.

So did VIP parkers not get caught in that mess to get out?????

Because the only "green" thing Radiohead is really interested in is your money?
I read that the band stayed at Hotel Palomar near Dupont Circle. I wonder what public transportation they took to the show, and how on earth they made it there on time.

the band soundchecks at like 3pm actually so they would have been there long before traffic was bad.
The band's preformance: amazing.

The "experience": one of the most terrible things ever. I've never been down with boycotts of ticketmaster, live nation, or venues, but no lineup will ever get me to Nissan again. Never. Hell on earth.
everyone whos "never going back to nissan" will be there when radiohead or what overated band they swoon over plays there again…

No, I won't. If I had it all to do over again, I wouldn't have went.

I would guess that the Wizards and/or Caps had dibs on Verizon because they were expected to do so well in the playoffs.
22 people died due to tornadoes over the weekend.

over 1000 people died and maybe more (mainly children) in china due to an earthquake.

over 100000 people died in burma.

and you bitch about some rain that "ruined" your horrible life and concert?

fuck you . . . not nissan.
