After referring to his crew as ?middle-age hobos,? he asked into the microphone, ?Hey buddy, can you spare a quarter of a million dollars??"

So this really is a "hobo show"!

I NEVER begrudge anyone charging what people are willing to pay……seems silly not to in a way….just creates a bunch of scalpers..

BUT I have began the year off in a really miserly mood when it comes to spending money on concerts so I'm not sure what i'm going to do…

as I said before, to me this is not the Replacements but Westerberg with Tommy doing Replacements tunes….

glad they're doing it…..just not sure i'm going to pay $70 for a general admission ticket..

heck i'd rather pay $100 for a seat within the first 10 rows and then just stand the entire time..

You should reach out to your contacts that always hook you up with VIP treatment.

my contacts are dropping dead as we speak….the golden age of VIP treatment is ending….

K-Tel is putting out two new compilations- I shit you not- the first is called "Yatch Rock" nad the second is "Hobo Rock"….

Ticket price itself doesn't bother me. Shelling out all the extra dough for high priced parking or uber is the problem.

Can you get IMP tix at the box office? Not saving a lot by going there,  I guess.
will probably sell out fast

I missed that golden age…I did get a few perks…
I knew hutch in the Iron age of concert going

What is capacity for this?

I went to the NYC show last fall, and tickets were not immediately sold out, and were readily available for face value day of show online.
Southern - most east coast show may draw some in. But I'm not sure it's an immediate sell out.
Not sure it's worth the gamble tho.

They played Atlanta last summer. Hard to gauge the level of interest. A lot of us old fogies traveled for the previous festival shows.

I am an obsessive though, so I will try to go to DC and Philly. I am glad I did not spring for London or Spain/Portugal.

SF sold out in 10 minutes. I know cause I tried for a friend…they're playing a 3000 capacity venue there.
I can't believe we're debating shelling out $70 to see a bucket list show…
^tru dat

I don't believe its a bucket list show… it would be if Bob and Chris were there..or even Slim

but Paul with Tommy? That is not the Replacements

Moreover, I saw Tommy at Iotas a few years back for like $10 and it was great.. he even got on top of the bar and sang "waitress in the sky", signed my Let it Be album, et

basically what we're seeing here is a Paul Westerberg show with Tommy doing Replacements tunes…

sorry for the reality check… if it was the Replacements $70 would be well worth it…

I mean I don't know..at this point Paul hasn't toured in like over a decade? 15 years?

He's certainly worth at least $50 to me…by himself…

like I said I'm just feeling stingy these days when it comes to shelling out for concert tickets… we all go through it once in a while..
Pleased to Meet Me tour is going to have to be enough for me in this lifetime.
missing bob is big….but he is dead…so can't really do much about that
Hardly think this is a coverband and don't agree with your logic

Now seeing Tommy along and thinking you are seeing the replacements…well that is not at all the same and I surely wouldn't pay 70$ for that

well…. you're the "unabashed Mats evangelist"… not sure about your credibility….

I think seeing Tommy solo is like seeing Paul and Tommy together except you get one guy instead of two…

either way its not the Mats…. no Chris… no Slim…..no Bob…..

some people think its the Who with Daltrey and Townshend but no Moon or Ox…..

it may be an enjoyable show but it ain't the Who….
I mean are All Shook Down and Don't Tell a Soul Replacements albums?
^ok ….you got me there….I don't consider those really replacements albums
From what I've seen and heard they put on a hell of a show
I still don't think it's as big as missing Entwistle and Moon
