I managed to snag a pair in the presale yesterday… like Bags, I used the TM app… I wonder if they set aside a certain amount of tix specifically for people using it? because I feel like it probably took me longer to type in the password on the phone than everyone else would on their computers….

KUBACHECK where you been man??
I tried using the app and it gave me a spinning circle for 10 mins while I was purchasing my ticket on the web.  I refreshed and tried again, gave me a catpcha to only tell me there were no more tix left

no, I just think there's a better chance of getting tickets using the app.

or, it could be that there's a better chance of tickets using the app because they set aside some specifically for it and fewer people are using it??…. it's certainly a possibility…. LiveNation has presales on their app where you don't even need a presale code, you just have to USE the app….. whatever the reason, it worked out for me….. now, what's the Echostage like??…. I've heard it's basically a big warehouse….

I sure haven't been going to shows, my concert attendance has been pretty sparse the last couple of years…..
so its just Paul playing guitar and Tommy playing bass? I thought Paul mangled his hand in an accident?

no drummer?

what are the odds on this show not happening….when was the last time they played that many shows within a month of each other???

I note the night before is open… they could add a show…if they wanted the money badly enough….

well stay in touch man! throw us a bone every few months…. its hard for me….virtually carrying the load singlehandedly around these parts….us old timers got to stick together…the new kids don't get the rock and roll..

they did this in L.A., added a show on Apr 15th after the 16th sold out…..

Usually when bands do this – and ESPECIALLY when IMP does this – the less-appealing date goes on sale first and the more appealing date is only announced after the less appealing show is sold out. Very un-IMP like for the Friday to go on-sale first and leaving a Thursday potentially unsold out. (Have you ever seen an early show at the club announced AFTER the late show?)

yes..I think its unlikely..if they added a show they'd have to play like 5 nights straight…. I don't see it…

just saying it is possible..
…. when you think about it, it'd probably easier on them to schedule another show after Philly than shove another DC date in between Columbus and the DC date that's on the books now…. adding a thursday show would give 4 shows in 4 days, and looking at their schedule, they don't ever have more than 2 shows in a row…. at least not yet….. perhaps Paul's voice needs a day or so every once in awhile to recover?

Yeah, it's "possible" they add another but they're clearly not going to.
see this is why we need kubacheck around here…he makes sense.. .why have one sandwich when you have two sandwiches?
I have never, in my years of looking at concert listings, seen a non-local band play in Town X, then play in Town Y the next night, only to return to Town X the night after (or with a day off) to play another show as he proposes. Its absurd for a ton of reasons.

exactly….
you see you cannot eat a sandwich that big… just like you can't play that many consecutive nights.. .but if you're a bit less greedy and you divide your lunch meats and bread you can have TWO perfectly good sandwiches and its much more satisfying….

I was not proposing they do that, just that it'd probably make more sense than coming straight from Columbus and thus playing 4 shows in a row……… Philly is a lot closer to DC than Columbus is, and Philly is also the last night of the tour, seems like IF they wanted to, they could add another show, drive, what 120 miles, and do another show here…… not proposing it, just saying that would make more sense than shoehorning a thursday show in after playing Columbus the night before….. also, I have seen artists play a town and come back later on the same tour….. for one, one year, Stephen Stills played the Birchmere, then a week later played the Ramshead…. then the next night played the Birchmere again and then came back to the Rams Head the following night….
^you see… it has been done…

thanks Kubacheck…. good with the facts as always…

I rest my case.

going to the Philly show on Saturday 5/9

tickets are still available for Philly: http://www.ticketmaster.com/the-replacements-philadelphia-pennsylvania-05-09-2015/event/02004E3DABB660E6?artistid=2114&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1&tm_link=artist_msg-0_02004E3DABB660E6

The thing I dislike about the Philly show is the location….

on the other hand, Stephen Stills was a good example of why you don't overextend yourself with all those added shows if your vocal chords have a lot of mileage on them…. I went to that first Birchmere show, he sounded great…. just a week later at the Ramshead, his voice was already shot, he was struggling all night….. when he actually HIT the high note in "Suite Judy Blue Eyes", the crowd cheered and he responded by saying "I know, I'm surprised too!!!"…..
