Albums you are looking forward to in 08!!!

The new Cornelius EP just leaked; first half is much better than the second as a whole but the Petra Haden cover of "Music" is beautiful.
Franz Ferdinand (didn't know one was coming, but i'm excited now)

Portishead (keeping expectations low… who knows what we'll get)

DCFC (there is a video on their website with a new track playing in the background - sounded good)

Postal Service

Coldplay (brian eno is producing it, and the band members have hinted that a lot of new technology went into the music… maybe this will be their Kid A album?)
They might as well make a Kid A.

They've been ripping off Radiohead for years now…why not continue?

Ditto on this…anyone from the board going to the Bowery Ballroom show on Valentine's Day? I may have an extra ticket, but still waiting to hear back on if a friend can make it.

Whattya think of Idle Hands? I love most - still trying to get my ears around the chorus.

I'm eager to hit one of the NYC shows… scheming schedule changes…
This Malkmus is better than I ever imagined.

Very psyched for the club show now.
Nada Surf
GUTTER TWINS
David Bazan
+/- … maybe Versus? (a bit of a stretch)
Nice! Thanks!

After the second listen, I was loving that track. The addition of "The Stations" to their MySpace page is making me very excited about the new album.

The 2/14 show is sold out and the tickets for the 3/19 show went on sale a few days ago. Buy tickets now, scheme later. ;)
Bob Mould's new one has leaked. I've given 2-3 spins. I thought it was kind of generic at first, but it's got some of that Sugary power-popness so will keep at it. Some of the songs do sound kind of wimpy, but I think it will grow on me.
