well then, i trust that you realized that this isn't just a logo of a baseball glove-

OK, the Penguins are quickly becoming the class of the East, unless there's major chemistry issues or something like that.

The Flyers are going to be slightly worse then last year and Jersey has fallen off a bit. I'd still give the Division to Philly, but I couldn't see them winning it by more then 6-10 points over Pittsburgh.

i'm happy about the bolts pickup of burke, he'll team up well with grahame … still a bit befuddled as to how they let 'bulin get away so easily … his playoffs last year were just legendary
rumo(u)r has it that lecavalier is discussing a 10 YR DEAL with the bolts … pretty bizarre … st. louis should be inked soon, and we got pretty much all our back line back
i'm predicting an easy win of the SE division and a tough slog in the playoffs, unless grahame emerges as some kind of savior

i remember Graehme when he was on the Bruins. don't count on him being a saviour.

i predict that everyone's predictions will be totally off base this year!
Including my Calgary over Philadelphia Stanley Cup Final predictions….

There is no way with this new salary cap - which has a serious possibility of sliding downward annually - that a team signs any player, especially a big money guy like LeCavalier to a ten year deal.

All the way to the NHL draft lottery. Biggest loser of free agency, by far.

yeah, it would surprise me if he blossomed into something great, but he definitely has some potential and flashed some serious skills backing up 'bulin last year (is it OK to just refer to two years ago as "last year" from here on out?)
which is why burke is a nice addition, hopefully they'll be a good tandem … but a good tandem does not a deep playoff team make

hey, i thought it was strange too … i've been hearing 3yrs/20mil for vinny and i think that's probably the ballpark of what it will end up at … probably similar $ for st. louis …

The only thing better would be if Miroslav Satan played for the NJ Devils. If that were ever to happen, I would totally have to buy a Devils' Satan jersey.

finally! back to talking about hockey!!
OK - more useless predictions:
1. The Pens will not finish in the top of their division (porbably second) and will not make it past the second round of the playoffs. However considering how they've done in the past few years, this will be a substantial improvement.
2. Philly will dominate the east. The only real competitor is Ottawa but that will depend SO much on how well Hasek is able to come out of retirement. Frankly, I'd love to see Ottawa win the east but I don't Hasek can do it.
3. There's too much parity in the west to make a prediction though I'd like to see Vancouver pull it out this year. I'm not happy that Bertuzzi is back in the league, but he'll make a difference.
