New Circulatory System album, Signal Morning, out August 4. Extensive tour planned to support new material. Someone in DC needs to get on this…
No fucking way!

Finally!!!!!!!!!

I gave up on this ever seeing the light of day.

The first album might be the most underrated masterpiece in the last 10 years.
From Pitchfork:

– Indie guitar hero David Pajo's got something to say: He recorded a Misfits tribute album today. (Actually, he recorded it in 2004, but saying so would've fucked up my "Last Caress" reference.) Pajo's Scream With Me is out now on Black Tent Press. It's a limited run of 1000 130-gram vinyl copies, all of which come with a CD. For some reason, "London Dungeon" isn't on it. Pajo is also currently on the road with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Does anyone know if that Pajo Misfits record every came out?  On his site, it mentioned it was coming out in January, but I haven't heard anything else about it.
That Pajo set opening for Gene Ween was really good. Can't wait to hear that album.

New Tortoise leaked last night.

They have to blow me away in order to wash out the bad taste SBS left in my mouth.
Danger Mouse is in dispute with EMI over his new project with Sparklehorse so he's releasing a blank CDR
instead.

NPR is streaming the album here and it's available for download elsewhere.

"Due to an ongoing dispute with EMI," - any idea what this dispute is about?
The article doesn't mention specifics anywhere.
I was wondering the same thing.
thanks
i can only guess that the dispute involves the fact that Sparklehorse is signed to EMI and they probably feel they should be releasing the record and or it goes back to EMI suing Dangermouse over the "Grey Album".

of course now EMI is going to look like a bunch of idiots for not releasing the album with all the free press it's going to get and one wonders why the majors are going down….
Streaming the Danger Mouse & Sparklehorse tracks second through and am very much enjoying this one… Epic fail on EMI's part, seeing as David Lynch's involvement alone would have a nice chuck of sales.
Man of Aran Artwork and Tracklisting
22 April 2009
British Sea Power scored Man Of Aran release date is May 18th, 2009

British Sea Power have written and recorded a new soundtrack for the 1934 film Man Of Aran. The film is being re-released on DVD with the new BSP soundtrack ? a release which will be preceded by the band performing the soundtrack live to the film at BFI Southbank on 23 April. The BSP Man Of Aran package includes two discs ? the re-scored Man Of Aran DVD, plus the soundtrack by itself on CD.

?It?s a wonderful film,? says BSP guitarist Noble. ?The images vary between huge drama and a brilliant kind of ridiculousness ? check out the amazing foot-wide bobbled berets that the fishermen wear. It?s a great look, like a 1930s Irish version of Jack White or Kraftwerk. It?s a film that?s also relevant to the current era ? a time when the idea of living a simpler life is in the air. The film shows something I?d like to think I could do, but know I never will.?

Man Of Aran is a powerful and provocative dramatised documentary from the late American filmmaker Robert J Flaherty. In a series of startling black-and-white sequences the film presents daily life on the inhospitable Aran islands on the west coast of Ireland. The film was both celebrated and controversial on its release.

The package includes three versions:

Studio Version in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and 2.0 Stereo.
Original Edinburgh Film Festival live performance in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround
and 2.0 Stereo.
Bonus Soundtrack in 2.0 Stereo ? an abstract ambient piece from Yan.
