supposedly the new U2 has been delayed until '09, and music retailers are complaining. they were hoping bono & co would ensure a happy holiday season for them.

Comets on Fire was posted in exclamatory hopefulness. They were on hiatus, but they've been playing together again. Therefore I hope and pray a new album comes out and that it trends more toward Blue Cathedral than Avater.
Oh yeah, where the hell is Essex Green?

The last Essex Green album just might be the most underrated album of '06.
Could've sworn someone told me that Ben Chasny and the other two Comets guys weren't exactly getting along. Good to hear that's in the past. Chasny's one of the last people I thought would have a beef with anyone; definitely one of the nicest and most easy-going musicians I've met.
P.S. Howlin' Rain is a gigantic piece of shit and needs to go away forever.

Can't say I've heard any, to my knowledge. I don't think I've seen them since the Sung Tongs tour. Got surprised by a sell-out the next time and was out of town for the 9:30 show :(

Yeah that sell-out was a big surprise.
One of the best shows of last year for me.
Brother Sport In The Flowers (I Think) Lion in a Coma My Girls (I think) Daily Routine Taste I know I've seen No More Runnin up there before but couldn't find it. Not sure of what the others are. There's an obvious West African feel to a lot of them; like Paul Simon's Graceland meets a sizable puddle of LSD. :)

Merriweather Post Pavilion officially out 1/20.
A release party at the club would be so fitting.

Wouldn't a release party at MPP be more fitting? Painfully cold and undersold, yes, but definitely fitting.

In a perfect world in which AC could fill MPP and the release date was tomorrow as opposed to january, sure.
Having a club affiliated with MPP hold the event would be the next most logical idea.

All I ask is that I hear an awesome album. I don't care who it's from.

story behind the title of the upcoming AC album i'm excited for it, especially following strawberry jam, which was stuck in my car's CD player for months early this year.

I keep seeing Dr. Pepper mentioned alongside news of this. What's the connection?
