My father-in-law has been a judge in Saratoga Springs, NY for 2-ish decades and knows the judges one county over where alot of this was happening and, wow, he has some stories about these folks. They used the (civil) court system up there to shut up dissidents and people who would leave. This group was CRAAAAAAZY and targeted rich kids at a local private school extensively.

The rival HBO and Showtime docs give you a good overview but you get like 10 rich people's stories. There are hundreds of people in upstate NY (and elsewhere, no doubt) who just had their lives ruined by these weird fucks. It really hits home when someone is like "oh, yeah, my niece's best friend was held out of the country for two years . . . they tried to recruit her (the niece) too but her mom pulled her out of school" as though its just fucking commonplace.

I guess Mahershala Ali and Chris Rock all look the same to you?

Season 3 was watchable albeit not a must-watch. I agree season 2 was pure trash.

Chris Rock did a season of Fargo that was pretty solidly OK, although it didn't have as much to say about race as it thought it did.

Mahershala Ali season…I don't know, that season was just too slow for me
I never got to the end, so I imagine they closed all the story/time lines

Yeah like I said, definitely doesn’t rate as a must watch but it was ok. I don’t fully even remember the ending. It had something to do with memory loss, like I think he knew who committed the murder for years but now as an old man, he legitimately couldn’t remember. It was not some fantastic reveal you need to see.

The Chris Rock Fargo seasons pretty alright if you’re in need of something to binge.

I agree Season 3 was solid, in large part due to Mahershela. Thoough Dorff was by no means bad.
