Martin Shkreli and Fyre Festival’s Billy McFarland Both Released From Prison Early. Both men, originally scheduled for releases in 2023, have been moved out of prison and into halfway houses

Well…unlike Trump he is going to jail
https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/16/politics/michael-avenatti-guilty-plea/index.html
I never met a single person who wanted him to be the nominee. I met Corey booker people, Buttegig people, Kamala people, the NY Governor people, etc. never a single one. Painting it like he was ever a serious candidate is kinda ass, my dude.

OMG he actually was polling ok for a while. Dude was on MSNBC every night and everyone there was fawning over him. Regularly on CNN. Media buzz.
I definitely saw posts on Facebook about wanting him to run.
Sorry your ass.

Avenatti was the only guy of the MAGA era willing to fight, willing to play their game, not (apparently) just controlled opposition, and not out there losing on purpose or saying ‘if only we could do something but we can’t.’
But he totally overplayed his hand and got slaughtered. Ruling class gets rich. Controlled opposition gets rich. Upstarts trying to upend things get slaughtered.
Anyone saying he should run for President was either (1) Avenatti himself; (2) someone who was repeating a narrative msnbc decided to kill some airtime with; or (3) someone appreciating that he was the only guy out there actually fighting in public in a world where every single non-MAGA politician is unwilling to fight and thinking ‘why not’

This. Especially when it comes to managing money. Accounting violations are near the top of reasons for disbarment and probably the highest for lawyers going to jail.

It’s true though that Avenatti fizzled out… I don’t truly remember why….He just looked like a bullshit artist from the first time I saw him and I was surprised how popular he became…and repping a porn “star”? You can’t make the Trump years up!!
Ugh what a waste of time

100% trying to cash in his fame to cover his debts. He was long in financial trouble before he was on CNN. However, as with most ponzi schemes, the more you try to cover its costs., the deeper you get in.

If you're doing labor that requires power tools, is your every day life any better than prison? How sad.

which is sadder would be a worthy debate. what isn't debatable is the sadness of andy dick's career/life… dude went from having his own show on MTV to being busted for stealing a drill.
