Like I said Paige, it is not the Rilo Kiley chick (Jenny Lewis) and Postal Service won't be back soon as Deathcab's new album comes out in October.
oops. sorry about that. sometimes i'm just too lazy to read everything.
Wow, a classic, ggw. Too bad they didn't keep up with the promise of this album. Where are Urge Overkill these days?

Allegedly, they have been working on an album for the past few (10) years. But one of the guys has a major drug problem.
funny, someone I know just tried to get rid of that CD, recently purchased for $1
I am often amazed by the CDs I see at used stores. Inevitably I already have them because folks give classics away. Though, if it's not your cup of tea, it's not your cup of tea.
I bought it for a dollar, and now I can't get rid of it. Figure I'll make a profit on it if I can find a buyer. One good song; the rest was just unlistenable and tuneless.

That would undoubtedly be the Phish phan.

Oh Rhett, we may both love Pernice Bros, but I think we have some great divergences as well. Certainly every song is not great, but there are at least 4 or 5 that I think are fabulous: "Bottle of Fur," "Sister Havana," "Positive Bleeding," "Erika Cane" and I'm sure one or two others I can't think of. But, it's true, the songs I don't like I don't like much at all.
Perhaps I should give it more than the once over. Only one song was catchy the first time through. I'm just getting very picky, since I already have so much GREAT music. If something is merely GOOD, it seems more and more pointless to bother with. Perhaps I am becoming Mankie.

Nope, I'm with you on that. I find I'm much less likely to *try* to like an album or band. Good example, Grandaddy. They have that one song out now as a single that I think is awful. But hey, I don't *need* to like Grandaddy, so it's okay.

I also find I give up on books more easily as well, with my free time harder to come by these days.
Oh, GGW, I love you. The tyde is my favourite. Do you have once?

I am listening to:

I still haven't found The Tyde. I need to just order in online, don't I?

Mark, that album looks awesome – I assume it is??

Aww shucks. Now you've made me blush.

I don't have Once.

I wouldn't think so. I found a used copy this weekend at CD Cellar.

Have you tried Olssonns?

Twice is $15 at DCCD. Or there is Amazon. Personally I would wait and buy it at the show ($10 and the band probably make more of the cash).

Once is trickier, only Amazon and ebay. It wasnt for sale at the show.

I could supply copies of both for you to listen to before their show with nada surf.

Teenage fanclub and jad fair…. well its an odd juxtaposition. I havent listened enough to it to pass a final judgement. Its not a real instant hit. But that is possibly a good thing.

The other thing I listened to this morning is:

I was surprised to like one of Bob Pollards Big Picks. I might even go to the show now. Very summery Beatles songbook with too much brass.

I can see dimples from here :)

Ok I will add that to list of Mp3s I must bring you. Anything else you want? I think I will give you the high strung and plenty of BJM and Mull historical Society and the only ones.

Not fair, I have to miss the show and you are going to go, the opener is great too, but I doubt you will care for him much.
