Same night as BRMC here in DC. Considering it's a Monday night, I'll bet Baltimore seems far away to me then.

BRMC are on a Thursday the 18th.
Well I'm glad they've been "on" when I've seen them.
Busy with actual work these days, I'm afraid.

Ah, cool. That means a lot less tendy hipsters to contend with at the PB show, and maybe less of a chance of it selling out in advance.

oh absolutely, I'm certain of that!
Oh come on now, Mank, which band has more of a "trendy hipster" quotient going?

one called "the Pernice Brothers"

or one called "Black Rebel Motorcycle Club"

Just like "Brian Jonestown Massacre" I would refuse to listen to them based on dumb band name alone.

WHOOPS, I'm getting August and September confused. But Pernice Bros. and BRMC are on the same night, right?

Guess I'll keep my trendy indie ass out of Rhett's way (by the way, this rendy indie ass just bought "The Instigator" today).

Is that a new term? Or how scoobie says "wendy?"

Come on Rhett, you know I have to have a go at you…especially on a quiet Friday afternoon.

I saw BRMC (twice) before they were known by almost ANYBODY…does that make me ultra, ultra cool and trendy?

could we ever have doubted it?

where did you see them? Iota, once?
Where and when did you see them? Seems like nobody on the board saw them when they played Iota? If you saw them play 9:30 Club as a headliner, I would call them a trendy band by that point.

They were support band at 930 for some other band that I can't remember, and I saw them support another band one time but not at 930, I keep thinking Morrissey but that could've been Gallon Drunk….memory is totally shot at this point I'm afraid, and not because of age or drugs…just one rugby game to many!

Yeah, it's new. Like 'deck' – maybe I'll tell you what it means sometime.

:p
aCCORDING TO THEIR website, they have opened for Charlatans at 9:30, an coheadlined with Spiritualized.

Interestingly, they also toured in support of Dandy Warhols. Should've guessed that much.

The Murder City Devils.

That was a great rock'n roll show. MCD stopped playing and stormed off the stage early in their set because some "friend" of their's was kicked out of the club.
I dont remember them supporting the charlatans at the club. Their show with spiritualized was fantastic.
I think they also opened for the Waterboys – which would explain Mankie's presence.
