No kidding. What a show!
that was one of the best shows i've ever seen……just wow….
Great show. I'd bone all three bandmates.
damn, I wish I had gone….
Concert of the year!!!

Amazing, amazing show. The band really looked like they were having fun. The audience was incredibly appreciative from start to finish. I suspect the heat may have made the audience a little sluggish to dance at first, but the floor was rocking by the second half of the opening set. I really enjoyed (finally) hearing "The Woods" tracks performed live. Great stuff, even better than the album, I think. The second encore was the cherry on the top. I'm ecstatic the audience didn't give up after the lights came on and the exit music started. "Sympathy" is my favorite Sleater-Kinney song, and I probably would have been a little disappointed if they hadn't played it. And "Dig Me Out" was the perfect way to end the show.

I think the cancellation of Tuesday's show just made tonight's show all the more epic. I plan to tell my children this story someday.

Speaking of children, I'm so incredibly happy NPR recorded this show for posterity. I can't wait to download it and listen to it again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the NPR recording quality is on par with the superb quality of the Neko Case show NPR recorded earlier this year.

From my standpoint, the sound mix was certainly top-notch tonight (unlike the previous Sleater-Kinney show I attended at the 9:30 Club). I could hear almost every word Carrie and Corin said.

As usual, it was lots of fun hanging with Bags, Tom Servo, and Kosmo both before and after the show. Cheers, my friends!

Corin, Carrie, and Janet, thank you for 12 great years and 7 great albums, and some of my very best concert-going memories.
Seth, et al

can I get my S-K ticket stub back? I understand there must have been a reason to keep the entire ticket last night but I'd like to have the souvenir, I'd be willing to send a self addressed stamped envelope to the club to retrieve my little treasure.

Agreement all around! The Woods tracks were even better this time than last, especially Entertain and The Fox. And they played Night Light, which I didn't get to hear last time. But really, after Not What You Want, #1 Must Have, Burn Don't Freeze, End of You, etc, I can't complain about what they did or didn't play.

And seconded about the mix. Last time, Corin's vocals were a bit buried and sludgy-sounding. Much better this time, crisp and clear. (Sound-guy checked her mic and monitors about 8 times, so cheers to him.)

yea, what's up with that? when they led us into the bar at door time, that lady said we would be able to get our ticket stubs back after the show if we wanted for souvenirs….well when i got to the front door after the show, they were gone? i'd certainly be willing to also send a self addressed stamped envelope to get it back as well if its possible. any of the mods here who can relay that small request to seth from a small group of fans would be greatly appreciated.

as for the show. again ;) the sound was great as well from where i was standing. did anyone notice carrie coming dangerously close to popping out there while rocking out?

so in summary….incredible night. thanks 930 club (except for that little ticket stub thing) and thanks to sleater kinney. last night they went out on top of their game.

and also HUGE thanks to NPR for recording this show. i'll be able to relive this night anytime i want.
I agree with everything that's been said. I saw them at Coachella, and they were very good, but last night they were even better. Also, a big thanks to S-K for re-scheduling in between the New York show and the Lollapalooza in Chicago today. Most bands probably would have just written it off after what happened Tuesday and not come back.
I got my stub back. They were handing them out as we left. And agree all around with the praise. Fantastic, fantastic show.

Sorry I didn't see anyone, but I did run into an imposter GGW. I haven't seen him in a while, and walked up to a tall gentleman with curly hair. He looked like he was going to punch me when I addressed him as GGW. Then, I think I may have seen him later on, but was too nervous about another awkward encounter.

I was also standing next to that imposter Nuge that's been running around town…

They were handing ticket stubs out to everyone as we walked out the door.
In order to defray the cost of the generator we decided to auction off the ticket stubs on e-bay. The bidding should be able to commence by the end of the day.
Obviously the other 896 people got their stubs before either of you did; and two slacker staph members pocketed the last two…
