Hendrix-All Along the Watchtower

these types of songs should be retired… they've been beaten to death… they are stale

is it a great version? yes but we have heard it so much

I'd rather they play Dylan's original… that is a shocker in its starkness

I don't listen to the radio and i don't own any Hendrix, so it's not that overdone to me. I'd also rather hear the Dylan original but of course they're going to go with the popular version at the grocery store..
Am surprised to read that… Hendrix's version is and has been everywhere for decades…but whatever, good for you

A lot of these classic rock songs are just so boring at this point… the songs that stand out at a grocery store are the more modern ones… when i go to a grocery store and i hear something from the 80s on I am pleased….
I was in Giant about a week ago and they played a song that was way too indie for the people shopping at the time. I could even catch any of the words to the song to look it up. If I had the guess, I would have guessed Built To Spill. After hearing them on the radio just now, I'm slightly more sure it was them….
What a great night in the burbs for hitting he Giant and getting buttermilk for the morning pancakes.

The Cars-Just What I Needed
Elvis C.-Allison
2/9 A little weird that i go to the Drive By Truckers and hear them cover Sign of the Times and the next afternoon Giant plays Starfish and Coffee off of the same album.

Edit: Whole Foods, not Giant.

I think it was more like a reinterpretation than a cover, and it was inserted as part of a song…they've done this with other songs.
