For the presale did you have to go last year? I went last year but my old email was deactivated ( Thanks Univ. of Maryland, you jerks!) so I never got an email about anything. It sounds like some of you did receive emails.

so, any news on VIP tickets?  will they be available at some later date?  it would be silly to have people (like, say, me) get this mitts on some free tickets only to buy VIPs later - thus wasting the freebies.

read what i posted! the vip tickets are the fan e pak ticket (49.50) i think..this year does not seem to guarantee pavillion access unless i am missing something…

there is nothing in the fan e-pak that says or implies "VIP":  no guaranteed pavilion, no exclusive amenities, no dedicated entrance, no backstage tours, no meet'n'greet, etc.  early entrance and a t-shirt doesn't amount to VIP.  hence my question.

in other news: a ton of shows go on sale tomorrow at 10, including some biggies like Wilco, plus Freefest.  fingers crossed that TF doesn't crash.

I'm a little confused as to how the presale works. I know you're supposed to go to the facebook page and "Like" the VirginMobileLive page in order to be able to access tickets when they go on sale. However, everything I am reading on that page refers to the public ticket sale starting tomorrow. Will there be something on the facebook page reflecting presale information, or is there another place we're supposed to go for the presale tickets? I already have a password, I'm just wondering how to access tickets when 10 am rolls around today. Thanks!

yes, the FB page will be updated with a presale link.  follow the same instructions as posted there for the public onsale. 

they aren't mentioning it on the FB page because they're trying (relatively unsuccessfully) to keep it secret.  if they posted on their wall "presale on thursday, public onsale on friday", then 100% of the people would be out there looking for the password.  as is, only 90% of people know about it  ::)

their app will crash anyway.  people think its hosted by facebook but if they are going the traditional facebook app route, that means they (virgin mobile) are still hosting the app on their servers……its just in an iframe (hosted by virgin mobile) with facebook stuff wrapped around it (which is hosted by facebook of course)

Anyone know if we have to set up an account outside of the the Facebook one to have them emailed? I hope it's just emailed from the FB page. I hope Facebook doesn't break. Last I chekced there was 110,000+ who liked the page
