FREEFEST 2011

Seems someone doesn't know the difference between donating and volunteering.

When did they announce the time slots for this thing last year??

very, very late in the game - week of.  this is one thing that i'd like freefest to work on: getting the schedule/time slots out at least a week in advance.  festoon it with warnings of "draft", "subject to change", "to be updated", etc, but let's get some lines drawn in the sand.  personally it helps me deal with anxiety and excitement, plan my day (ex: meetup time), etc.

If yer reaching that deep for something to cause yourself some anxiety, you must have a pretty sweet life.  ;)

I'm up for a meetup! I've never met anyone from the 9:30 Club board and I'll probably be attending on my own this year.

So how does the will call work with freefest? I was just going to get me tickets the day of but then I noticed this at the bottom of my confirmation email:

"Available for pickup starting 9/2. No charge. General admission tickets not picked up by close of business on 9/8 will be released to the general public on 9/9"

So I have the week before the fest to get them or else they toss mine? Or am I misreading this?

meetup: we'll organize one once the schedule is published. we need to pick a time that works for most people, a.k.a. a lull in the schedule that will maximize how many people can make it.  location will be the 932, of course ;D

that's exactly right.  if you selected will-call as your delivery, you need to pick up the tickets at the club or at MPP by the thursday before the festival.  otherwise, you lose 'em.

Have any tickets been mailed out yet? I won a pair and Virginmobile said they would be mailed in August. Nothing yet?

during the presale & onsale, we had the choice of print-at-home or will-call.  for 99.5% of attendees, mailing tickets won't be happening, so you're on your own big papi.
