Agreed, that conflict was my biggest disappointment.  Thankfully I've seen both at least once in the past year.
Teddybears vs Empire of the Sun…I know I hate Empire of the Sun but I want to see them so I can hate them even more
An hour and fifteen minutes for the black keys and the mouse dj gets more time than them? Lame.

The Black Keys have pretty short songs so that time frame for them they could play all the songs they have and still dick around  ;D
thank you IMP!

after Chappelle brought you "Playa Haters' Ball"… now 930.com and BrooklynVegan present "Indie Haters' Ball"!!!

"Those guys are so August 2011!"
"They'd never make it in DUMBO…"
"They couldn't fit a marimba or a glockenspiel in their music if they tried!"
"Where did they get their clothes - RETAIL?!?"

to the top left of the Kyocera forest: "trampoline"??

i'm soooooo doing 3 shots of tequila then throwing myself on that thing.
i think we've found our meetup location.

Greatest sketch ever written.

"And as I sip from my soda that I'm sure somebody spit in, I would just like to say to all of you: KISS MY ASS, YOU ROTTEN MOTHERFUCKERS."
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go home and put some water in Buck Nasty's momma's dish. Good evenin'!
MEETUP: i'd like to propose 3:00 as a time to meet at the 932 (miss p, i'm afraid of the consequences of a trampoline meetup).  folks who insist on catching okkervil river can join us at 3:30, we'll be sure to mock you then :P

thoughts?

as much as i love it, i put "charlie murphy's true hollywood stories" (prince! rick james!) and "if the internet were a real place" above PHB.  but that's just me.

Greater than "Black Bush" or "Cribs?"  I beg to differ.

Brian
Silky Johnson: [referring to Rosie O'Donnell] "Now that man I'd hate to fight. Cause she wears underwear with dick-holes in 'em".

as announced in the weekly blast, MPP has partnered with Rock & Bus (http://merriweatherpostpavilion.rockandbus.com/) to provide transpo to the venue.  great idea, i think to myself, since i might need a ride home after freefest.  so i go to the site, they have all sorts of other shows listed… but no freefest.  biggest event of the year at MPP and no buses?

turns out that the buses are listed on their sister site Muzikbus (http://virginmobile.muzikbus.com/), which is supposedly for electronic music events.  uh, i guess freefest has a dance tent… yeah, that makes sense.

anyhoo, return fare is $50 from DC, MD and NoVA ($65 from richmond - who does their pricing?!?).  not cheap, but beats a cab.

another transpo option, brought to you by BYT: http://byt930virginbus.eventbrite.com/ (haters might want to check it out if only for the name of the bus ;D)

they have options that include tickets if you don't have one yet.  bus-only option is same as muzikbus, ~$50.  only one departure point: the 930.

Not my thing either but he really made something huge out of it. Good for him.
I have copies of his electronic albums still in the shrinkwrap. Will get to them one of these days.
