FREEFEST 2011

It's an Incubus show the next night. No need to clean up for people with bad music taste.

There's already either a Saturday or Sunday show for every weekend in September, except Labor Day weekend.

It just seems too coincidental that TVOTR has Philly on 9/9, Charlotte in 9/12, and nothing listed yet for the two weekend days between those Fri and Mon dates.

So September 10 with TV on the Radio and who else?

There's a show the very next night. Not ruling out that weekend, but it will be quite the cleanup effort if it happens.
If it is 9/10, Death From Above 1979 don't have anything on their schedule, and seem to be at more festivals this year than they are not.  I'd much rather see them in a club than at a festival, but it would great if there were any local date.

Guided by voices is in Raleigh the night before.  It would be great if they were on the bill.
Girl Talk is headlining.
Never heard of her. Any good?

Just a bunch of bells and whistles.
six words that need repeating

the return of the dead milkmen
Girl Talk headlining means me leaving early at least (assuming I even go).

i'd wait to see whose headlining the second stage before making that call.
Is Girl Talk really headlining?
Where did you hear that?

And i really hope this isn't on September 10th. I'm seeing The Early November that day.
Highly unlike Girl Talk is the headliner, he already played MPP at the Sweetlife festival below the Strokes on the bill.

Girl Talk is headlining both stages
So Freefest is 9/10, damn it.  I have a ticket for Hopscotch festival that weekend.  Okkervil River is on the lineup so far.
So, James Ford might be right with his TV On The Radio guess, good job Matlock  ;D

!!! (chk chk chk) might on the lineup too…
it's washingtonpost.com/clicktrack that predicted the 9/10 date…

I'm thinking of these bands that will be on the lineup

The Shins,
Mates Of State
Cage The Elephant
Hold Steady
Pains Of Being Pure At Heart
Joy Formidable
Yuck
Dale Earnheart Jr Jr
Foster The People
The Vaccines

;D
wouldn't be surprised if Chromeo were on the bill - looks like their fall tour doesn't have a baltimore/dc date…..and their main tour doesn't kick off until sept 14th
Oh yeah, throw in Pretty Lights, that fucker is touring all over and mabye the Raconteurs  ;D

Add Ghostland Observatory to the list for 9/10

That would be a nice edition.

Which reminds me, I still have an interview with them that I need to write up and publish. Hmmm….. maybe I can get the scoop from them if they are on the bill.
