you think you know everything. you think you have been through it all. you think the life you have called your own is the only thing most important to you. then you become selfish. then you become oblivious. other people. who? your pain, your troubles are more important. they are you, what you have become. don't let the problems of others interfere you. people's issues are distractions and will bury you in needless time away from you.
then it hits you. then you unbury your hands from your face. then you see the light of what a human is. one of your friends comes to you in pain, and asks for help. you are broken, and you can help. and you do. and you feel alive. and you know you know nothing.

I am ashamed, that you are a part of my life history, North Carolina.

;D
Thank you, Pearl Jam.
Edit. Even though, I don't think artists should even schedule shows or support the state or people shouldn't support the state by going to shows or spending money on hotel rooms and the such for such shows and then getting screwed when artists cancel such shows, I really think the band should have played the show and given all the money made, which would have been a shitload of money, to various LGBT organizations in the state. End of my opinion, opinion.

I am enjoying the fact, that in reality now, being gay is just mainstream and not controversial and isn't almost against the norm, so to speak. Some gay people I know are having a hard time adjusting to the fact that we are not so "special" anymore. LOL.
