I go, deep.
So . . . I have an appointment with my super expensive neurologist tomorrow, that takes months to even see the guy. And the office contacts me to say, they are not seeing patients in person still, so I have to do the appointment via some type of medical Zoom thing.

And they have to nerve, to still charge me full price for the appointment.

Thanks, Obamacare.
Julian's sudden use, of clutching pearls and fainting couches, intrigues me.

How was neurologist?

Neurology May be the Achilles heel of my biological family

In times of trouble, we revert to what we know.

Luckily, everything normal with recent eeg and mri I had done.  But, recent lab work revealed higher than normal lyme disease levels.  Like William Burroughs's wife, I'm turning into a bug.

I am, embarrassed as a human being, that it took a horror show on HBO to teach me about the awful history of, sundown towns.

yeah it wasn't Lovecraft Country that introduced me to that particular part of our racist past, but i too only recently learned about those laws…  the burg I live in had one of those in place.

it was also only recently that i learned the meaning behind the Billie Holiday classic "Strange Fruit".  i say it was a truly fucked up period of US history, but our history in general is pretty fucked up..
I had also only recently heard about it from an interview with a black musician of his time touring in the south

But I quite enjoyed the campy Lovecraft County first episode

yeah the series is really good and that scene in particular was edge of the seat for it's entirety, scarier then what was to come.
