Well it's a fine line, balancing your time between this place and La Leche League. I think he's figured it out now though…but not Celeste. Those wholistic parenting list serves are a lot to wade through.

Celeste lost interest in this board one I stopped picking fights all the time.
I'll probably be on this board as long as I'm into music and live in the DC area. I was a long time poster on another (artist) message board, but quit that one. This one is harder to quit, since it's a general music message board that's local.
Sorry to semi-hijack the thread, please go back to discussing hockey.
Oh yes…true story…
I was flipping stations the other night, and stopped at the hockey game for a couple of minutes. The camera panned in on Mohammed Ali, who was apparently in attendance. Celeste looked up from her laptop long enough to ask, "Who's that funny looking Asian guy?"

I know what the fans of the 2007-2008 New England Patriots felt like when they choked away the title to a hot team that wasn't even in the top 5 in the league. I guess kudos for winning, but you're still as likely to miss the playoffs as your team is to win the East next year.

Also, I'd point out the Penguins played pretty terrible. Massively outshot, and if any of the 9 posts in the last two games for Detroit go in, series over.

You were massively outshot and outhustled in games 1 and 2. It was the general consensus in the hockey world that the gap had grown between the two teams after games 1 and 2.
They got lucky. The Wings had two shots to clinch the series and held the Penguins to 2 goals in each. You replay that scenario 1000 times, the Wings win 997 of them. I give them credit for keeping their composure and taking advantage of the Wings fatigue, but no one outside of Pittsburgh actually thinks the Pens were one of the 5 best hockey teams last year. And in 2009-2010, they don't appear to even be the best team in their state.

the pens outshot the wings 32-30 in game one and 32-26 in game 2. the "but no one outside of Pittsburgh actually thinks the Pens were one of the 5 best hockey teams last year" part makes me laugh, though

I was forced to concede that they were as good as Anaheim when they made it to game 7, which put them in the top 3 in my eyes. Then I had to concede that they were the best team in hockey after winning a game 7 on the road. To think otherwise is tho have the blinders on.

Does anyone have any info on if/when Cap playoff tickets go on sale to the non-season ticket holders?
