Dale Hunter was twice the player of Scott Stevens….Dale Hunter never had a bad game in his career, and whenever he was on the ice or the bench the whole team raised their game. Scott Stevens had many a bad game. He's a great player but that's not everything, it's not just individual skills that make the greatest players.
As for Johansson, he is one of the most intelligent defensemen that's ever played. He could read the play like no other so made it look so easy. He was Rod Langway in a helmet.

A Culture Of Losing
"No one expects us to do anything," Coach Bruce Boudreau said. "I told them, 'Just play the way you're playing.' This is a great learning experience. The only people expect something from us, is us, quite frankly."
Still weak!
If you're gonna post cutesy little commentary, make sure its correct.
Laich is not a rookie, tool, it's his second season. (And don't try to get out of it by saying you're talking about Bäckström. 'Those' and 'Rookies' is plural … that means more than one.)
Boudreau's record is now 27-15-7 not really what I'd call a 'Culture of Losing'
Since you apparently like random pictures of penguins…

Preach on brother, Preach
Stevens career points 1026
Hunter career points 1136 (and in about 300 less games than Stevens!)

"If you're gonna slag on another team make sure you have the facts right. (I know the Pen fans still haven't figure it out yet. But they're very slow … I think its the water in the shit hole that is Pittsburgh.)"
I was at a Caps/Pens playoff game several years ago ..back when Dale Hunter played and it was one of the last years in USAir Arena. Hunter the goon tries starting a fight with a Pens player and I yell out "Hunter you pussy.. why don't you quit trying to start fights and play the game!" ..To which a Caps fan turns around to me and says "Hunter is no pussy! ..he'll fight anybody!!.. he's the toughest guy out there!" ..To which I reply.. "Oh yeah? …he's a fuckin goon! He can't play hockey, all he can do is fight, and just like the rest of your team, he'll never win a Stanley Cup because he doesn't deserve it, and neither does this town that doesn't support your team!!" (I was sitting about 15 rows back.. …at a playoff game.. …in DC.. ..and I paid face value for the tickets… half of the arena is Pens fans ..which you'll NEVER see in the "shithole that is Pittsburgh") ..but I digress..
So this smart guy replies "Oh yeah, when's the last time the Penguins won the Stanley cup, when you were 3 ?" …and I said "Yeah asshole, I'm 7 years old… we won it 4 years ago… now sit down and shut up and make sure that you tell your boss thank you for giving you the company tickets for the playoff game!" ..and his buddy tapped him on the shoulder and said, embarrassingly, "Uh… yeah man, just sit down. They just won it a few years ago.."
So, um.. I don't think he really had his facts straight. …and another thing.. about being slow.. Do they still put the definition of what the penalties are on the scoreboard/screen above the ice when there's an icing or off-sides call at a Caps game?? …because uh… they don't do that in Pittsburgh..because.. um.. we know what the penalties are. ;)
Oh yeah???? Well, this one time, in band camp……….

Good comeback!
Oh by the way..
Icing - in ice hockey occurs when a player shoots the puck across at least two red lines, the opposing team's goal line being the last. When icing occurs, a linesman stops play. Play is resumed with a faceoff in the defending zone of the team that committed the infraction.
&
Offsides - If a player precedes the puck into the offensive zone, play is called and a faceoff takes place in the neutral zone.
Also, a pass made across a blue line and the center line is ruled an offside pass, also referred to as a two-line pass. Play is called and the faceoff takes place at the originating point of the pass.

…I copied that from Wikipedia, so I guess I need to go to more Caps games and watch the scoreboard to get the correct definitions of the rules.
However, it's is still Pens 2 and Caps 0, right? (Stanley Cups) :p

I apologize for that, you are correct.
And as appreciation for the Pens helping the Caps out last night by beating Sabres. Here's something Pens and Caps fans can laugh at together.

Not to detract from the intelligent Caps/Pens debate…
Are we all in agreement (with the obvious exception of Vansmack, of course), that Chris Pronger needs to get about a 20 game suspension at this point? For years he's been one of the most terrible human beings ever to sully the league and after receiving multiple suspensions in last year's playoffs, he's now stomped multiple times on another players leg. Chris Simon got 30 games for this, and despite being Chris Simon, he had nowhere near the rap-sheet or reputation Pronger has.
If there's ever been a case of "star treatment" in sports, its this nutjob not getting some serious time off unpaid. What scum.
