A "DISKBOX" WITH THE CD, THE DOUBLE VINYL, AND A SECOND CD OF ADDITIONAL TRACKS IS AVAILABLE FOR PREORDER NOW. SHIPS 12/3. $80.

HOLY SHIT!
I stand partially corrected:

The Diskbox is $80, firm, but the download is a "suggested" price of $20. You get to set your own price. If you put in $0.00, it works just fine. So basically, they're giving away the album for free download, unless you'd like to give them so cash for the hell of it. It will be interesting to see how this marketing strategy works: album for free to the masses, the hardcore fans can pay $80 for the book/cd/vinyl/singles package.
Wow!
these guys are so weird.

so, who's going to pay for the DL? i'm definitely down for $10, not sure about $20.

I gave them $5 but I'm planning to eventually buy the diskbox if it's any good or (inevitable) retail version.
i wonder if they'll do the itunes thing of giving preferential access to tickets to those who order the box set and/or pay for the download.

i'm having trouble ordering the DL. ordered once, got some weird error, and now it tells me my basket is empty, but when i try placing a new DL in it the website informs me that i can only have one DL in my basket (i.e. sometimes it thinks my basket is empty, and sometimes it doesn't. maybe this is thom further toying with me).

The site is swamped. Try closing Firefox/IE and hitting refresh and starting over, it works for most people.
Im giving them nothing.

Ill see them in concert for an ungodly amount of money eventually.

the 2006 shows were pretty good.

they weren't an ungodly amount of money. i don't think any radiohead show has been an ungodly amount of money, especially considering bands like coldplay are charging $80+. the 2003 tour tickets were <$45 for amphitheaters if i remember correctly..

I believe the 2003 show I saw was 49.50, but still that's relatively meager compared to what other bands of that size cost.

prices on my tickets:
merriweather: $43
atlanta: $46.50
montreal: $49.50 CDN - i had toronto tickets too but i don't remember the price. i had to return them when i couldn't make the rescheduled date.

none of that is bad at all.
montreal 06 was $65CDN and toronto was $71CDN (the US shows were quite a bit cheaper than the canadian ones for some reason)

2001 was under $40, 1998 was $30 and 97 was $20. the prices have gone up pretty slowly. obviously pre-97 was cheaper but you get the idea. the ticket prices are relatively reasonable.

radiohead tickets are cheap. maybe you'll be paying a scalper, but that's not any money the band will be see.
My mind is blown. My wallet is ready.

Bring on the tour. Bring it the FUCK on.

OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Studio versions of 15 Step and Arpeggio!!!!

(Where's Bangers N Mash? That was like, my highlight of 2006!)

Edit: Nevermind, it's on Disc 2!!!!!!!!!

CD two and vinyl:

01 MK 1
02 DOWN IS THE NEW UP
03 GO SLOWLY
04 MK 2
05 LAST FLOWERS
06 UP ON THE LADDER
07 BANGERS AND MASH
08 4 MINUTE WARNING

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
still no 'big boots' / 'man-o-war'.
they're never going to put that song out.
…still no studio 'true love waits' either.

re: 2006, it was pretty cool to see the first ever performance of 'down is the new up'… and then a couple nights later hear how they'd changed it up.

Oh crap, I was thinking of Big Ideas.

Major :( :( :( from as excited as I was.
also gave nothing for the digital download. Will be spending money on the cd and probably a show.
I did 5 pounds and then there was a .45 transaction fee, which comes out to around $11 US. BTW, I really hate this weak-ass dollar, but that is for a different topic.
