SPOILER WARNING: Prestige Television Discussion

I predict o/u 2.5 posts about tonites episode of Twin Peaks counteracted with 10+ about The Defiant Ones because it's about music and this board – aside from myself – is an insular, one-trick pony of stupidity.
GOT was fun. Nice to see all the characters right from the get go. Talk about setting the table for the final battle. Thought this fit well with last seasons finale. Excited for what's to come!
Is GLOW worth a shot?

I gave up halfway through the first episode but I don't think I was the target audience for the subject matter.

Is there a chance that someone who doesn't give a shit about professional wrasslin would still find the show entertaining? Do any of the ladies get naked?

I do not give a shit about professional wrestling and I did not find it entertaining but I cannot speak for all people who do not give a shit about professional wrestling.

Yes, there is nudity.

I thought it lived up to the hype!

Ok, thanks. I'll give it a try.

I caught episode one the other night and I thought it was very entertaining
its all the real people it's not a musical biopick
I had just seen the nwa pick(some really good parts but overall bad and long)so I knew some his background
But Jimmy…jez he has really had his hand is some of the biggest acts in the industry
At least 3 generations of music he made a significant mark
Definitely a wack job, but no doubt knew how to get the job done with the right people

I actually like pro wrestling and it takes some time to get behind. It has funny moments. I'm not going to run out and recommend it to anyone else. Thought it was way more "girl power" than "Girl Boss" though.

We tried it last night. The first episode was good enough for me to try a second episode, but I'm not putting it on my list of must see tv yet.

We're also slogging our way through the second season of Master of None. Gave up halfway through the first season, but decided to give it another try. The first couple of episodes (in Italy) were cute and promising (the fact that we were about to vacation in Italy in that region probably helped), but it's been downhill again since. Christ that Chef Geoff is an annoying turd, even more annoying than Dev. And the episode where they had a kid playing Dev as a kid? He must be the second male tv character ever (Michael Jackson being the first) whose voice got higher after hitting puberty. I really don't understand what the hoopla is over that show. If Ansari was white, he'd probably be working at Burger King.

Yes, he would.
I'm guessing you didn't like Seinfeld either.
I propose a drinking game in which you have to drink every time Space mentions his trip to Italy.  Everyone should be starting to catch a buzz by now.

I liked Seinfeld, when it was on originally. I'm not sure it's aged very well. How would you compare Master of None with Seifeld?

Italy was best when i was buzzed. Or high up in the Dolomites.

Christ, man, I have to work tomorrow.

Do some of you not have IRL friends to talk to about things like Italy trips?

So telling strangers (not that I consider everyone here a "stranger") on a music forum your thoughts about the tv shows you watch is considered normal behavior but telling them your thoughts about your recent vacation is considered odd?

I personally do not care about other peoples' opinions on most things, and mostly post on here for the food.
