Que estas escuchando?

Chris Whitley very quietly just released 2 new records.

War Crime Blues

&

Weed

War Crime Blues is a collection of new originals. Weed is a re-recording of older material.

I got them just in time to listen before I see him tomorrow. I'll let you know what I think once I 'test drive' them…
these arrived at the weekend - thanks grotty!

Cool - Hope you like. While I don't think they are his best work, they are a good sign that he's getting back to what he does best. You just know he's got a classic record ready to bust out.
whoops - dupe

I love this record. It's been tops for a few weeks now & just keeps sounding better.

this is good - sounds alot like the tindersticks
While in Toronto this weekend, I picked up the new controller.controller album called History. A great little album! I highly recommend it. I also picked up the entire Stars back catalog. I'm now addicted to their music. "All right I can say what you want me to…"
What's new (and old)…

TV On The Radio - Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes

OK so my expectations were a little unrealistic (waiting on best album of all time) but it's very good all the same. Not *quite* what the EP promised, though (there's nothing quite like "Blind"…Plus borrowing some guitar and drums from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs was nice)

Desert Fathers â?? The Spirituality

The best thing I've heard since that TV on the Radio EP…it's sort of like the strangest bits of Modest Mouse and the Meat Puppets mixed together, but even better and weirder than that. And Albini produced it, so it sounds just incredible.

Metal Urbain â?? Anarchy in Paris

Can't wait for this show…fasciste!!!

Echo & the Bunnymen â?? Heaven Up Here

Definitely my favorite record of theirs.
Agreed on both counts.

modest mouse–good news for people that like bad news
shhhhhh

even worse than the original
… sounds better than Snow Patrol's cover of "Crazy In Love".

and how is the modest mouse album?
