so if you didn't like the inconvenience of taking your delicate vinyl out of the jacket and only listening to 25 mins of music per side before flipping

now you get to listen to 10 mins and have to either flip or get a new slab out 24 times

cool in concept, horrible for actually sitting and enjoying the album
oh yeah, we're going to charge $91.99 for this inconvenience

but we'll throw in a slip mat that cost is $3 to make

Some people really enjoy singles.

Although I have quite a few I do not enjoy them…but for people that like them these boxes are cool

Definitely a storage system too rich for my blood. But "underrated gems"? Many of those are very well known among 80s music junkies. Perhaps lesser known among the youngsters—and recommending them to Gen Z is good mentoring—but definitely not underrated.

LPs will be a limited niche market if individual records cost $45 and box sets are $200-$300. At those prices you are looking at a market for the wealthy, collectors, hardcore fans and audiophiles. Used prices are all over the place but generally three times higher than pre pandemic. The high prices are the exact opposite of one of the reasons I got into vinyl…partly cause you could buy an armload of used vinyl for $20.

CDs have their place: box sets, multi disc compilations and live recordings.

90%+ of people will be streaming or YouTube.

At some point the “vinyl is cool” perception will end… CDs will not be manufactured much longer other than specialized releases.

Still plenty of albums being released on CD, just take a gander at Bandcamp, etc… 

I think it's been over 10 years since I've played a CD

Just got the first ten Alice Cooper albums on CD for $35, new. No liners though.
