Based on local turnout reports, VA is on track to break 3 million votes, which would surpass gubernatorial record of 2.6M set in 2017.

Not clear which side that benefits, but this isn't a scenario in which turnout in blue areas is falling through the floor. #VAGOV

seems to me this would favor the dems.  as it has been said a million times, this election comes down to turnout.  the right is highly motivated (certainly aided by biden's recent slump), so we know they will show up.  so high turn-out implies lots of dems, since they are the variable.

Bettors now think McAuliffe will win, after days of having Youngkin as the favorite. It's a net 21-point flip in about five hours.
I'm going to point out that I voted about five hours ago.

Also, can we bring back DJ Medusa?

When all the votes are counted, the GOP will win narrowly in Virginia.

How can you call it if it’s narrow?

I think Terry wins 53-47

damn, that's bold +6
I think it's terrytheterrier +3
And remember the votes usually keep coming in the city of Richmond so it may initially look less favorable for Terry

only number I agree on is the final number, they won't call until it's obvious
I hope we don't have to wait until saturday, then its gonna be a shitshow

but it's 7PM, so shit just got real
Shit got real for the number crunchers

I wouldn’t have a clue how to interpret the counts coming in

But the right person might know within an hour
of course, I'm about as amature as they get at this shit
still is fun to horse trade for a night

I'm going to wait until the people I trust call it, then I'm pretty confident that's the end result
Ok, this isn't crazy funny, but gave me a lol

Van Jones on CNN calls Glenn Youngkin the "delta variant of Trumpism."
"Same disease, but spreads a lot faster and can get a lot more places."
are we worried about a Princess Blanding spoiler?
you know lee carter likely voted for her
turnout predicted at 3.1 mil
2017 was only 2.58
