"Right now we are just blaming Bush. But, if he's re-elected, the blame will shift to the American people."

And they've had a lot more than their feelings hurt.
You just proved one of my theories:
"It's apparent that there are 2 deeply divided types of people in the U.S.
At the risk of being offensive - I think you can describe the 2 groups broadly as
* people who think more largely
* people who think & act more selfishly"

The comments that I mentioned came from individuals of many ethnic backgrounds, including Middle Easterners.

Were the comments from those revelatory meaning of life bar chats that people have when they go abroad?

only 17% of registered voters 18-30 years old showed up yesterday…
how fucking embarrassing….
I'd be curious to know what percentage of them actually showed up though. The Dems were banking on more. Guess The Boss and PJ didn't work hard enough….
Originally posted by sonickteam2:I saw that percentage as well. Pretty surprising. Maybe the out-of-state college kids out of state don't know about absentee forms.
are you kidding me? what were they all doing?

Either that, or when Springboard did his thing they all decided Kerry wasn't hip enough after all.
No, I'm just being a smart ass. Believe me, I'm just as upset and confused as you are that we've got another 4 years of W in the White House. However, I'm also sick of being labeled the ugly American because of other Americans decisions. So, comments like the one you posted from your trip to England tend to annoy me. Not you, just the people that say them.

Mankie is kidding. In the wrong hands & heads though it's not so funny. Those thoughts become scary & dangerous.
Actually, going by the results, 50%…okay 49% of Americans are rational intelligent people. It's the redneck/rich/stupid/sheep who give you all a bad name.
I felt so sorry for a woman who called into the Gerry Ryan show (radio) this morning. She's an American living in Ireland and was literally in tears because it looks like knobhead got in again. She said she was ashamed and embarrassed at what her country have done during his reign.
Most of the callers were Irish and thought it hilarious that he got in again, but Gerry reminded them that after the laughing is over, the reality of another 4 years of him is nothing to laugh at.
The rest of the world is laughing and pitying you now, and afraid of what he'll do next.
America has no respect in the world anymore, and that's the truth.

I was quite proud of my Mother and Grandmother. Two lifelong Republicans born and raised in Ohio went for Kerry.
Now looking into the future. Can we expect a more humble Bush Administration or are we going to face the same arrogance we have seen these first four years?
What the hell do you expect? Now that he KNOWS people like him he'll become far more cocky.

I wish all American citizens would have a mark on their forehead this morning - red, blue, or green (non-voters.) It would help me tremendously as I move through life during the next 4 years.
After the next terrorist attack watch how difficult it is to find someone who voted for Napoleon
