He was Clinton’s money man

Underperformed other statewide democrats when he got elected

He should not have run again but not sure based on results any D was winning  tonight in Virginia

Time to move on and make a correction

Night
virginia is for losers :(
well there were a couple bright spots out of yesterday's local election…

where i live Greenbelt (aka Takoma Park lite) we passed a referendum to establish a 21-member commission to review, discuss, and make recommendations related to providing reparations for the city’s African American and Native American residents.

and Del. Danica Roem not only was re-elected but absolutely destroyed someone on twitter last night..
The moral of this story is that there will, and forever will be a lot of dumb people out there. Just scare individuals with a bunch of bogeyman topics like CRT and it’s like clockwork. Why do the actual research when you can get talking points from Fox News chyrons.

Yeah, well insulting and dismissing these people is not going to win elections. Figure out what you need to do to get there votes, do it, and go out and win an election.

I honestly did not learn a single thing Terry stood for, because every single ad on television and every single flyer that came in the mail from Terry told me that Youngkin=Trump rather than telling me where he was on issues.

I 100% agree with this take

Solid advice. Just go DO it.
some crazy turnout for offyear election
2.65 mil cast…only won by 70k more votes
it's a lot, but also not that much

(all votes haven't been counted, so numbers could change)

GOP really got the turnout
Biden did win by 10 points

Trump got 1.962 mil in 2020
Youngkin got 1.664 in 2021

almost 800k people who voted for Biden didn't bother to vote in this election …ultimately the fault kinda lies there
I do think people thought Terry-ible was a shoe-in so didn't show up

Where did you get the 800K number?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_presidential_election_in_Virginia
Biden  vote count in VA 2,413,568

https://results.elections.virginia.gov/vaelections/2021%20November%20General/Site/Statewide.html
Terr-orist  1,582,995 (not final number)

831k actually didn't show up to vote for Ter-ya-a-new-one, who voted for biden only 1 year ago
(no way to tell how many ended up voting for I-sleep-with-young-kin…but the media is making it like there were a lot of swingers who went for the other team this time around)

Well then your numbers are garbage. You also posted:

Virginia 2020 —> White women
50% Biden (D), 49% Trump (R)

Virginia 2021 —> White women
57% Youngkin (R), 43% McAuliffe (D)

So you think the huge swing above among white women is due to white female Biden voters simply not showing up rather than independents or Trump Hating Republicans who voted for Biden but found Youngkin more likeable than Trump?

how can my numbers be garbage?
I copied them from other sources and showed you the source

maybe my analysis is garbage

Maybe yours are. :)

Youngkin got 1.671 million. Mac got 1.592 million. Both got more votes than any other candidate for governor in Virginia history. Youngkin got more than 500K more votes than the 2017 Republican candidate, an almost 50% increase. Are you going to say that that 500K+ increase is due to people not showing up for Mac?

totally possible…right?

all I'm saying is 2.4 mil people in VA pulled the lever for a Dem in Nov 2020 and what happened to that 800k less
Gotta imagine if ALL of those 2.4 voted again in 2021…I thing Terry-the-terminated might have a job

So I blame at least 500k VA voters who just didn't bother to vote this year…especially with the laws that made voting easier
no-excuse absentee voting
45 day early voting
these things didn't exist only 2 years ago
They really had No-excuse not to vote ….so FUCK THEM, not the white women who actually got motivated (albeit for a candidate I don't like)

so what happend to those 290…think they voted for terry-the-parent-hater

I think LG and AG are safe

so do these go in the bad take hall of fame??

Also here is the REAL reason Terry-Poor-mans-Martin-O'Malley lost

You act like I'm not the person who suggested this to Terry.

was that after he bought you the GandT?
Hes bought me a beer but never a G&T.
Arlington voters approved a $23 million bond to support schools and Mary Kadera was elected to the Arlington School Board.

Probably will impact my life more than anything Youngkin does…

Oh btw We signed up to get my 9 year old his covid vaccine on Saturday. My 12 year old just got his vaccine earlier today.
