When I voted very early this morning it was all men. All businessmen. Maybe they weren't polled at that time, but they were out.
i said traditionally. :)

as for your earlier post. . .the market went down based on the drudge numbers, which were used on wonkette and everywhere else. drudge has backed away from those numbers (predicatably) as being inaccurate and not trustworthy.

Yep, this would be excellent. So that you see how this thing is followed in Europe, I got a call during the Barcelona - Milan game from a friend telling me that he was in the stadium and asking me whether there were any results from the key states.
as an fyi to you barcelona. . polls on the east coast don't close until 7 or 8 pm, eastern time. that would include the states of new hampshire, and most of florida and pennsylvania. the next round won't close until after 9 pm eastern, and so forth through the western states. for most people's purpose though, the eastern and central time zones contain the important states (with new mexico being mountain, and nevada being pacific time zone). so, you're friend will have to stay up very late to get any solid information on the poll numbers.

I wasn't interpreting this as a final result. Many people I know in Spain are going to stay up all night following the election results. By the way, I just saw a CNN poll on the most important things in the election to Republican and Democratic voters. According to the poll, the first issue raised by Republicans was moral values. What a funny concept some Republicans have of moral values. This president has been anything but morally correct (obviously he has not been a uniter and a compassionate conservative either).
Regarding predicting the election by Wall Street: a little-known Wall Street secret is that day traders – the herds of panicky people who make the market move up and down on the slightest rumor – are morons.
this has kept me laughing through most of my walking….

Calling a Kerry win:

http://zogby.com/
yikes… notice how they have Bush winning the popular vote (barely) but Kerry winning the electoral vote? In a way it would be sweet revenge for 2000, but I would hate to see Kerry win by such a sliver… the most criminally incompetent administration in American history deserves more of a repudiation than that.
The first final vote is in:

Darin Erstad won the AL Gold Glove, becoming the first player in history to win a gold glove in the infield and the outfield. Keep 'em coming for smackie today!!!
the line at sports books in Las Vegas has moved to 53% in Kerry's favor.
kerry wining the electoral college and bush winning the popular vote would be vary entertaining.

we live in a republic so please stop saying democracy.

Wow, Bush is up pretty good right now. But the big states are still left.
Florida, with 68% of the votes counted

Bush 53%
Kerry 47%

I really hope they have left the liberal counties for the end!
Not like this is a newsflash or anything, but if JK doesn't win either Florida or Ohio he it'll be nearly impossible for him to win. He's behind in both states now.
What a shame….LOL
If Kerry gets Cali. then this thing is gonna go down to the wire…..The suspense is killing me.

Cause I don't care who wins, how many times do I have to say it. I like them both almost equally the same. Isn't it past your bed time?
