The Mission in 2013 was probably the lowest attended 9:30 show I've seen. Maybe a couple hundred people there?
Is there a QOTSA presale today?  Anyone have a code?

The Ticketfly link has "promo code" box, so I'm assuming so… but… again, I didn't receive an email.
The code is FEETDONTFAILME.
"QOTSA will not sell out the Anthem.  there will be tickets available day-of."

discuss.

I predict solid attendance. But not sure of a sell-out. I am thinking probably not. At least not until very close to the show. Given their recent setlists, I'm underwhelmed with the song selection. I'm sure they'll do more new tunes once the LP is released, but in reality, the overlap of songs with the last tour seems incredibly high.
I predict sellout….most
peeps dont follow setlists and its been a long time since they played dc…merriweather on a week night is hard for va and dc folk…also peeps eill want to do anthem as a destination in it of itself
Remember also that with adjustable capacity evrrything can sell out

everything can be made to feel like a sell-out.

but because the show feels like a sell-out doesn't mean it is a sell-out.

my point is that QOTSA won't sell 6000 tickets.  but certainly more than 1200 so it makes sense to have them play Anthem.
I feel like there was a lot more than 6000 people at Merriweather, but I also wouldn't be surprised if there weren't. So.

St. Vincent was on the bill though. I saw them a couple nights later at the Mann Center Skyline Stage in Philly. I think capacity was around 4,000, maybe slightly more. I still think it'll be a stretch for them to pack in 6,000. But they'll come relatively close.
The ticket I bought for Courtney Barnett + Kurt Vile says general-admission seating.  So I guess the Anthem will do entirely seated shows.

Hey there, Seth!

Just bought seats to QOTSA. They're way up on the 3rd deck. Sounds scary.  How good/bad will the sound and sight lines be?

Can't wait to check the new venue out.
