Looking at Fall tour announcements: The Shins, probable The Anthem show?  11/5?
Hey Seth
Courtney Barnett and Kurt vile are doing a tour and will be going from Boston to Nashville in early November

seems like a perfect Anthem show
I could absolutely see Queens of the Stone Age doing a show there. The Shins are possible, though I still think the 9:30 would be a more appropriate size.
Bumping this up to get discussion out of Just Announced.

Radiohead.
you're trying to tell me its radiohead?

or its just another fake out…

that would be a tough ticket if they did it..but i'd want to be at it..
Gonna guess that The Smashing Pumpkins reunion starts at Anthem

But seriously, while I think Radiohead is unlikely, I wouldn't be surprised. Seth wants something major and exciting, something that gets a lot of attention and people talking. Foo Fighters is far too safe a choice; they've been IMP's go-to band a few times already. And Thievery Corporation is very much a club band. LCDSS is definitely a good choice for myriad reasons. But Radiohead is long overdue to play DC/Baltimore and a 3 or 4 night stand would make up for that, and it's something that Seth could pull off.

Also, Smashing Pumpkins opened the relocated 9:30 and I don't think Seth wants to repeat himself.
All shall be revealed

Welcome back, after an 11 year absence.
I wonder if Liam Gallagher will play here, the club, or Lincoln Theatre when he inevitably tours the U.S.  Beady Eye did not even sell out the club, but the solo career proper seems to be generating more hype.

Lorde seems a nice fit for the Anthem, but she is in Italy on the opening date.

Would Beck be considered an exciting choice to open the venue?  He is touring here and there throughout the year.  Hasn't played the D.C. area in a couple years.
According to fb all to be revealed in hours
Website now says "Monday Monday". New Order? The Mamas & The Papas?
Bob Dylan
Foo Fighters, of course
Seth's on DC101 now.  The place will hold 2500-6000.  It'll have a movable stage and backdrop like the club.
But will it have valet parking?
