The Unlikely Rise of the French Tacos
French tacos are tacos like chicken fingers are fingers. Which is to say, they are not tacos at all. First of all, through some mistranslation or misapprehension of its Mexican namesake, the French tacos is always plural, even when there’s only one, pronounced with a voiced “S.” Technically, the French tacos is a sandwich: a flour tortilla, slathered with condiments, piled with meat (usually halal) and other things (usually French fries), doused in cheese sauce, folded into a rectangular packet, and then toasted on a grill. “In short, a rather successful marriage between panini, kebab, and burrito,” according to the municipal newsletter of Vaulx-en-Velin, a suburb of Lyon in which the French tacos may or may not have been born.

I reverse engineered mcdonald's internal api and I'm currently placing an order worth $18,752 every minute at every mcdonald's in the US to figure out which locations have a broken ice cream machine

Carpool coming back to arlington…although in a spot that already 3 restaurants have perished

It will occupy a space that has been home to a succession of short-lived restaurant outposts over the past half dozen years or so, including Greene Turtle, Applebee’s and, most recently, Filipino eatery Bistro 1521.

After 25 years gone, Roy Rogers to return in place of the McDonald's that closed last year in the UMD Stamp student union. When McDs bought RR in the 90s, they closed most of them and replaced many others with themselves.
Welcome home, Roy!

Wendy's discussed the new fries during a Zoom press conference, and NRN reports that the new fries have a new "not-exactly-square" shape to help them retain heat, and there's a "whisper"-thin coating of batter that keeps them crispier, longer. "It looks like a standard French fry," John Li, Wendy's vice president of culinary innovation said during the press conference. "But it is not a standard French fry."

Looks like the on-going fast food french fry war is entering a new phase. The current champ is Arby's crinkle fries. Hopefully, Roy Roger's takes a turn.
