What Did You Just Buy Tickets To?

Obv nobody going to this to see good music or creativity.  I'm guessing it's about humor?  It's just not funny at all.  Now people playing VU covers about pizza with skill and precision?  That might be just a little funny, akin to bands like Lez Zeppelin, Miss-fits, etc.

I suppose it's mostly about McCauley Caulkin.  Which I suppose i can understand at least a little bit.  Like going to see Kevin Bacon's band or something.

You not being able to understand the subtle satire about societal mores =/= joke band. Pizza Underground are an "issues" band the way U2 would like to be.

I listened to their demos and they were better than the original songs and they were funny. I mean who can't sing better than Lou Reed.  I won't be attending but I don't see why you are so negative about them.    It sounds like it is fun.  I don't care that Culkin is in the band.
Ok after watching some live videos I take back all the positive things I said about Pizza Underground

PWNT@!
Bought my ticket for Earl Sweatshirt. Was bummed he wasn't at the OFWGKTA show when they played RNR. I believe he had long been removed from the group at that point. He was my favorite from the group and it will be interesting to see him live. Wonder if he brings along any friends.
i know it's a couple months off, but if anyone has an extra ticket for pizza underground, please let me know!

Isn't that one of those movies like Plan 9 From Outer Space that's so bad its good? I've never seen it and not sure if I'm thinking of the right movie.
Yes, it's know as one of the worst movies of all time.

I wouldn't be all that interested except that my favorite book of last year was Greg Sestero's 'Disaster Artist'. It is so funny that I can't possibly miss this.

I haven't bought tickets ahead of time in quite a bit, but this week I bought two shows.
- Cloud Cult doubleheader at Sixth and I (one of only three bands that I will go to that spot to see)
- Neutral Milk Hotel at MPP (bought four for a birthday gift/double date)

Let me get this straight you would rather see a show at MPP than Sixth and I?  Are  you anti-semetic?
I would rather see a show at: Rock and Roll Hotel, Black Cat (main or backstage), 930, La Casa, Club K, the Ottobar, Metro Gallery, the Crown, Sonar if it still was around, MPP, Charm City Art Space, or Velvet (not a comprehensive list, just some examples).

I am pretty sure I have posted my thoughts on seeing rock shows there.  I don't like it.  I saw the Polyphonic Spree there (one of my favorite bands) and almost hated it.  Its fine for spoken word, book tour stuff, but I would much rather see bands in a different setting.

And no, I am not anti-Semitic, or anti anything.

Rachel at Sixth and I was AMAZING.  I don't hate the place itself, I just hate it for a concert, and would rather be elsewhere.

james Franco is supposed to be directing it…
NMH was just a little bit too expensive for me, especially since I've seen them twice recently.  I had tickets in my cart, the total got to $110 and I backed out.  (I'm with you on MPP over 6th and I).

Seeing NMH once was enough. I won't be at MPP either unless I find a very cheap ticket on stubhub.
Has anyone here received his Kraftwerk tickets in the mail yet?  I usually get ticketfly tickets rather quickly but nothing so far this time.
This should potentially be another thread, but I'd like to buy tickets to:

War on Drugs
Real Estate
Black Lips

I haven't done it yet and most likely won't, but I'd like to.
I really want to see Black Lips, but it's a weeknight and I start a new job next week.

I will be buying tickets to see the both in may.
